One of the changelogs did mention that her introduction scene was redone, so you are probably not misremembering, and that specific choice may hint at changed future expectations for the character.

Bottom-left of the map, and only available during evenings. You have to have completed most of the latest strip club content with Shuya as well.

There's basically no content for the switching yet except a single photoshoot scene though.
