i am answering as to why its taken over 2 years and not being "poor time management, workflow etc", the point was we have no idea how much work is done per day, week, month. maybe he has a 60 hr a week full-time job, maybe he looks after a sick granny full time and gets carers pay from the government, maybe hes a stripper some nights and starbucks employee during the day. all of those things will allow for different amounts of free time to work on this stuff. so many creators are doing this "part-time" as you said and their outputs vary so fucking much, thats what im getting at, are they doing the bare minimum or working on it every single free minute they have, who knows.

We don't know the content creator's personal life, how old they are, etc. It could be a side hustle, it also might not be. Some people share their personal life and some don't, nothing wrong with that. Nobody is required to share anything. That's why I just simply assume that creators have other, general things going on, like other hobbies, maybe they had a death in the family, or financial troubles. But more than three years, possibly going to be four, is an insane amount of time for a single 30min~ animation.
I could rattle on about all the things I did in that past three years while working a full-time job just to put it into perspective. Maybe not right now.

There are professional teams that animate full time and still don’t get everything done in a timely manner, so I can’t imagine it’s any easier for a single individual.
Given where we are I don’t think we’re in any position to ask how much of their day goes to it. This isn’t a shareholder to company relationship, anyone who supports is giving their money freely to ensure the artist can keep making art. That does not mean money goes up, output goes up. If that were the case, films and games as they are would be done in no time.

we're just speculating, there isnt rly much else to do with all the waiting
to a point "money going up = output goes up", you mentioned teams. as an example jackerman has a team, thats how he can turn around a 4-5 min thing in 5-6 weeks. more money can also buy better rendering speeds from better hardware. now does money help him manually move the character models around and position them? no obviously. he would need to split the workload with another person and that didn't work out for whatever reasons, the last thing you want to do is delegate work to people who output inferior shit, this is what usually happens when someone who has lets say a great pizza place, then they franchise, but because they're not running the other places, quality drops, and they dont do as well. as for the nonsenses, do i like seeing the characters needlessly move around, actually yeah, so many other animators are just, switching scenes instantly from one fuck position to another. do i need to watch Lisa put her pants and jacket on tho? not rly.
anyway i don't wanna drivel on about what-ifs and hypotheticals. does this mean he still gives updates every 3ish weeks? "hey guys ive corrected 7 of the 460 things so far, heres some examples, but then i broke 2 others that didn't need fixing so technically im at 5 of 460"
