i don't think theres anything wrong with them, just its obvious hes sticking firm to some kind of formula each time (minus that retarded shit he didnt recently) and not bothering to add any dialogue or story to any of them.

Length doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best. And I didn’t mean the quote thought it was, I was speaking for meself. I think the quality of the animations, the position variety, the insertions (which are done so well and what I think separates him from other animations) are better than the casting call vid. It’s one of his older works, so I don’t feel it’s aged as well.

Realism and 'straight to action' plots are kinda overrated, esp in this medium where it can be anything we want. I would rather rewatch the Dezmall Harley quinn vid than Hydra's vids, even with how realistic Hydra's is. Thats why I was waiting for this animation lol

PDB on the other hand, less said the better lmao. This guy did 1 update, disappeared for months and then does another. And slowly he did finish the animation after like 2+ yrs but then decides it needs "rework" and started from scratch again, but staying the same with his inconsistent schedule. I have legit seen nobody artists like fatcat17 turn from making 10 sec loops to the pro that he is now. That's how long he took lol. This duration is just too long for anything, esp when you know how inconsistent he has been. I thought he was gonna be the "Dezmall killer" back then, now I know dezmall doesnt need to worry abt shit XD

Honestly I think PDB is just a big perfectionist, so keeps reiterating the same project until he deems it perfect. Other long-form guys seem to be fine with the occasional imperfection. And holy shit I just realized after reading through this thread how long this current project has been in the works. I thought it was just a little over a year.

He's a troll, not a perfectionist. He went for killing the MC right before the climax. IRL years of buildup to ruin it.

I don't mind it being like a movie with all these shots. Hell that's actually the only positive. I hate that this mf taking this long for a finished animation
