Why are you lot acting like the dev has quit making it. They made the move to blender which means they had to learn an entire program before making any actual progress. Not only that but Domiek was literally posting last sunday.... On the same page as your comments...

Nobody knows.
Dev decided to abandon the beginners stuff and move on to better tools which have made a pretty big improvement on renders.
On top of that he's also still having to work full time and spend time with his wife so it's slow going.
Hopefully soontm but no actual timeframe.
