I can't even get the new scenes to show up. Just started the new download, and it says "there are no more scenes for this version" under every girl.

Considering the supposed "endings", I really don't think I'm gonna start over. If the saves won't work, guess this one gets scrapped.

Is it sad that there isn't a proper ending or finish for most of the characters? Yes.
Is it so bad that I'm going to heavily criticize the dev? No.

Simple reason is that as far as I'm concerned, PT was never a story based game. It was (in my opinion) what a sexual/porn game should be; a game with a basic yet unrealistic storyline with lots of beautiful sexual content. Didn't play for story fulfillment, played to get the required dose. Props to those who can do both sexual content and an amazing story, but I find it more frustrating when there is a story but no actual sexual content which sadly tends to be the case for story based games (something like a year worth of content, but all you've seen so far is 1 character nude out of hours of gameplay).

Besides, I'm actually thankful to Domiek for being honest enough to say that their passion for the game ran out. Also thankful that they tried to stick with the game for so long despite that. In a place where a number of creators leech money from people without putting content out for multiple months or years on end, to let us know and even bother putting a last update instead of leeching and posting false teasers for a year and then doing the same thing regardless is a step forward at least.

I'm not saying that there shouldn't be criticism for a bad ending, I'm just saying that people should also admit the good, not just the bad. Even though Domiek mentioned they don't mind criticism, but when that's all there is and all the good is ignored, I can't imagine it not being demotivating.

For what it's worth, despite having my issues with the ending, I loved the art and thoroughly enjoyed what the game had to offer.

Look forward to seeing what the dev puts out in the future!

Well damn, it was fun while it lasted. I've enjoyed the ride (and meeting Monkey and Dani) as well as seeing Domiek's skills grow. I even understand wanting to wrap it up, doing a hobby you don't enjoy anymore must suck. I still find the ending very disappointing, but it doesn't ruin the fun I had along the way.

It really annoys me that this is marked "Completed" the Devs may have finished with it but they definitely didn't complete it. I get there probably isn't a more apt label available, so no need for anyone to respond on that score, I'm just belly aching

It's like if you are having sex with someone, and as you are getting into your rhythm, they announce they are finished and leave. you have a right to be pissed even if you didn't pay for it :p.

I did love how the models for Amy and Maria depicted real Milf bodies instead of a Barbie steriotypes, I'm disappionted I won't get to see Amy and Mayan progress (for me Mayan was the one I was most looking forward to exploring and she didn't even get a sex scene), and it pisses me of that Jennas story ended just as she was beginning to get interesting.

Any chance someone can enter a suggestion that a new label be created that indicates works like this that are "Finished" by their creaters but are a long way from being complete by any reasonable definition.

Mhh.. started a new game and on the first Cafe visit it seems that it triggers more than 1 event. Bc right after the introduction you have a scene where it seems that they know each other for longer .. and 9 hrs are gone for a cafe visit...

Is there multiple choices with the ending?

Like choosing the perfect woman, and choosing what he does with them?

For example choosing to either be the bastard who takes revenge on women by acting the way he planned on or calming down and accepting the lass he picked as the ONE.

Just curious because there is a lack of choice when talking to these lovely lovely ladies.

I notice the character advancement guide is wrong for Maven. It says that she's at the swimming pool at 20:00 but she is in fact also there at 19:00 as well.

Saturday at 20:00 Sophie is suppose to be in the kitchen but isn't.

Sophie's route was very good.

Amy's route was pretty good.

Jenna's route was pretty good.

Hikari's route was pretty good.

Dani's route was nice.

Alex's route was nice.

Daisy's route was alright.

Maven's route is about the only one I didn't like and that's mostly because it seems like she just got thrown away and forgotten about hell even Daisy had a happy ending.

Is Hikari's dad really Japanese because he looked pretty dark to be Japanese? Unless he spent lot of time in a tanning both.

Honestly, if the dev says the story is complete, then the story is complete. They are the creator. They are the ones who decide where the story should end....even if it's a major cliffhanger and/or a letdown. If I were a dev, and my game were labeled "finished but not completed," I'd feel pretty insulted.

While I can absolutely agree with wanting to have a tag/label that warns of this, the problem would of course be who decides what is a complete ending and what not.
FE. Slonique basically calls a game finished whenever he doesn't like working on it any longer, everybody knows that, but then there are games where there is an actual ending, but many think it is rushed or just plain not good/satisfying.
Then there are games which are obviously ended, but are so because the dev cuts the story up in several chapters... yet not all of these follow-up games actually happen or start soon.
When does a game turn from being part 1 to being unfinished but called complete, because the dev won't ever come back to it.

I mean, reasonable definition is a term that can have a WIIIIIIIIIIIIDE range, and often it will come down to opinion.

Especially considering that there are always those who have this knee-jerk reaction to automatically defend any and all devs, who will basically swear on their life that the ending was great and/or that any dev has every right to end the game however he wants, even if that means he doesn't give it a proper ending at all.

I mean, you see it in this thread, I'd say about 80% of the people posting since the endings were released express disappointment, but the rest declare everything is peachy. That's just how it is.

I absolutely understand it's a difficult suggestion to implement, that's the reason I wrote the belly aching part lol.
Some things clearly indicate Incomplete status, Mayans story arc for example, you give her a swimming costume with a promise to swimming lessons, then nothing, she is perpetually sitting by the pool forever more.

As for the "Finished but incompete" label, Off the top of my head I'd suggest a voting system, maybe something as simple as
What tag has this game earned "Completed" / "Abandoned"?

which would be displayed as a percentage or integer next to the Label showing how many peope agree.
More than 50% and it gets something like "Compete" "Percentage Here"
Less than 50% and it gets something like "Abandoned" "Percentage Here"

Edit: Addendum I'd also like to see Review breakdown scores (maybe in a popup) such as
  • 80% felt the main story was complete.
  • 25% felt all the Side stories were complete.
  • 75% felt the majority of the Story arcs were complete.
  • 66% were happy overall with how "finished" this game is.
But that might just be me getting greedy :p
