Is this game worth playing? a little bit of summary would be helpful and the one in main post isnt helpful after reading above dudes fighting
In my estimation, the game is worth playing. Most storylines are truncated by the dev abandoning it, but what's there is good. Storywise, there's a fair amount of pathos, bathos, variety, and personalities, not all of which may appeal (like the storyline people above are arguing about, which involves cucking a guy at his dinner table and knocking up his wife). Visually it's a good meal. Gameplay involves a worldmap and a weekly schedule, but "where do I go next" is usually pretty straightforward, and there's a calendar of who/where/when (IE, it's thursday at 3 pm, so lady X is at work), which is just a solid design choice. Character paths are mostly independent. There's about a dozen 1-3 scene wonders, like everyone at the yoga class. Just know that almost no storylines have an ending, let alone a satisfying one.

My favourite part about this game is the music volume slider in the menu!
If there would be only music in the game

yes, but it seems that this game stores saves somewhere else too, because if i delete its folder and extract blank game with added full save, i still can play with my save i deleted a moment ago, but not with full save
Most Ren'py games have a second save folder in the \users\user_name\progam_files\renpy\game name directory.

What OS is that?
With Win 10 it's normally \Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\[gamefolder]

in this case specifically it's \Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Gym-1517986565

I just started on this one yesterday, and now I am at where Sophie just told MC about the new job opportunity, and honestly, I just quit. I won't be able to finish this VN. Please allow me to explain;
I do like the renders, the visuals are stunning, the girls are great, and the premise of the story is good too. At least the whole "I suck, and now I want to be like Gengis Khan" is a new approach to these Harem VNs. A pity there's no music or sound.
But the MC's personality is what I can't deal with. At first he was just impressively dumb and socially awkward/retarded, but as the story progresses, he gets dumber and dumber, meaner and meaner (unnecessarily mean), and it almost feels like there were two or three different people writing parts of the story, some of whom never were in a relationship themselves. The MC switches personality every now and then, noticeably so. The things MC whines about, the stupid replies, the childish behavior - nah, this turned into a rotten mix of F UP for me. It's a shame, it really is.

Just started the game. Enjoying it so far. I definitely like that there isn't a hundred grindy stat-mechanics. So the next question is, do decisions have long-term impact? Are there "routes" or is it more "the choices impact how that particular scene go, but the game's going in one direction regardless."

Either would be fine, I'm just wondering if I should start meta-gaming to work toward the end I'd like, or just go with whatever seems like the most fun because it'll all go the same way anyway.

Played the game for the first time today and finished it a few minutes ago. I really liked some of the routes, especially Sophia and Dani.

But damn, absolutely none of the routes have a proper ending. It feels like the dev got bored, called it quits halfway through and just slapped a completed tag on it.

almost two years later, i'm going to ask what is the name of the save folder? i'm searching in AppData Renpy couldn't fine Personal Trainer folder
you don't need the global save just use the local one, make a save and overwrite it with the other guys.
\Personal_Trainer-1.0-pc\game\saves

I'm sure this is already in this thread somewhere, but JIC the global folder is in \AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Gym-1517986565.
Yeah I've posted it myself #5,978
Doesn't change the fact you don't normally need to use it to load someone else's save, I've loaded hundreds of saves from other people on various games (trying to help them) without ever needing to access the global save folder. Normally as long as there is a registered save in a location you can simply overwrite it with the new save without issue, unfortunately my copy seems corrupt, downloading it fresh to check.

Obviously you're right that it shouldn't be needed. Since that's what was specifically requested and they said it didn't work for them, though (for some reason), I decided to provide it anyway.

last year that I was thinking about a PT Steam release. Dealing with the move to Europe and working on releasing episode 3 of In a Scent, I put this idea on the back-burner.

Well I finally got around to finding my old hard drive with the PT files and have confirmed it's possible to render some proper endings and maybe even finish Mayan's morbid ending. Tossed Steam the $100 and finally got approved to start setting up the store page.

In a Scent is still my number one priority and PT will take a lot of work to make it Steam ready. Other than doing more renders, I'll have to rewrite the entire code because it's a sloppy and barely functioning mess. I'll setup the store page and if there's enough interest reflected in the number of wishlist additions, I'll likely spend a few months working on PT on the weekends.

No idea if there's any interest in this as PT's already a bit of a dinosaur, but thought I'd share anyway :HideThePain:
