I haven't played this game in a good long while. What content was taken away that is now returned?
It should be possible. You just download the version you want to use, go to "Images", than to "avatar" folder, copy the contents from version you want to use, into avatar folder in new version. Assuming the 3d avatar version doesn't have different programming, but just pictures swapped...
If it's different programming it's possible it will still work if you put that folder into avatar folder in new version, and rename it into "classic", "new" or "newnew" which are subcscriber folders.
So paths for them are .../PE/images/avatar/classic
.../PE/images/avatar/new
.../PE/images/avatar/newnew

Mostly the Therapists "hypnosis" gif stuff. So what this really means is there has not been a serious update in nearly a year.
The Cheerleading is one of the dumbest things. That is (imo) is it lacking in anything exciting much like any other path is this game.
Incest was removed, and MC wasn't blackmailed, but willing participant, and bully revenge content was removed too.

that stuff had been removed from the game for over 2 years+ do to Patreon rules, along with the hypnosis videos (though the video was not do to rules). If I remember correctly, they were going to change the hypnosis videos into some type of art animation. It seems they given up on that idea and returned the same videos that were there before
I've only played this game recently for the first time, the "restored content" 1.32 build, so my experience is likely pretty different -- the cheerleader content is already pre-built in the game so to speak, rather than come after months of playing. And i have to say when experienced like this, the cheerleader storyline stands out positively if anything, in the sense it is some actual storyline with decent pacing and plot development rather than a semi-random collection of sandbox scenes (half of which you're likely to miss because they trigger at low corruption thresholds, that the player will be well past very quickly)

A year of work was restoring removed content?
tbh a year without content pushed me to "game mod" a lot of content focused on "mistress Ashley" route, story got a bit weird and fetishy very quickly from then on
Hypno content was removed due to patreon too, even pornhub banned sissy hypno apparently.
It obviously wasn't, most of the time there was no work on the game at all, because health issues.
Most of the work has been done in the last few weeks, while bunch of the groundwork has been done during the year, but not implemented yet. There was need for some catching up, some events, and options to be fixed with restored content too.

I described the game mechanic of the hypno session which can alter the Mind state of mc from 0 to 2 which affects mc's reaction in "girly" situations and mc's sexual reaction to men in some events. Open the html-file in a text editor and search for "isMind_2()" or "isMind() == 2" to see examples ...
My "Note" comment was a critique of that design / implementation since feminization and gayness imho in real life are not connected. There are feminine and masculine males and females and they can be gay/lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual as they like, so there is no reason to limit this game to a feminized + gay combo, especially if there are lots of female LIs like (female) friend, cheer friend, Roxy (?), guardian, teacher, Ashley, ... devs some years ago said they want to add more heterosexual content later. (This would actually require to make the coach event completely optional since sucking off or getting fucked by the coach is pure MM content and should be avoidable on a heterosexual path.)
AfaIk the therapist content with hypno is optional, so you can avoid Mind_2 but maybe miss some of the feminization content which requires Mind_2. (?) It would have been better if therapist would have separate hypno sessions for feminization and gayness so that the player can customize the mc's role and sexual orientation.

They are related in a sense MC is being hypnotized into becoming "heterosexual woman" i.e. one who is attracted to men.
Then you could probably also
- "hypnotize" lesbians "into becoming "heterosexual woman" i.e. ones who are only attracted to men and
- "hypnotize" gay males "into becoming "heterosexual man" i.e. ones who are only attracted to females.
So sexual attraction is just about hypnosis and can be "adjusted" depending on social norms?
