VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Picture Perfect [v1.0] [SuperWriter]

Excellent fun for fans of the genre! Only gripe was it was a little shorter than I would have wished, along with them all pregnant as one big happy family.

Hopefully there will be either a sequel or DLC content later down the line as I liked all the characters.

There are many good aspects in this project. The character are cute. There are a lot of good renders. Some sex scene is not half bad at all. You can customize your relationships. Full harem route but all LIs are optional. On the technical side it's good indeed. It just could have used a few animations.

What i really didn't like is the story. I didn't play through all of it, i couldn't motivate me to, maybe on the long run it goes somewhere. At the beginning i also was invested enough, but the behaviour of the girls (who are well characterized more or less, and have their motivations) is increasingly nonsensical and purely plot driven. The younger, uhm, close person? of the girls it's even incredibly weird. It felt like she might be mental.

So, i don't know. After a while it just felt like a bunch of random things happening in between undeserved sex scenes. You don't even have to pursue the girls during the story, just, out of the blue, at a certain point they jump on your (not so) little old friend and you only has to click "yes" or "no".

Preface: When it comes to Adult Interactive Fiction (AIF) I look for more than just masturbation material. I, generally don't even do that. The primary thing I'm looking for is a story that draws me in and makes me care about the characters, first and foremost.

Review for 1.0:

Story: Picture Perfect has you playing as a 40 year old male MC living with four young adult women between the ages of 18 and 22. By default, you are a landlord and they are tenants, but you can change it to father and daughters at the start without any patches.

Your oldest daughter is Paris. She is a tough but motherly figure to her two younger sisters. She takes on that role after their mother abandons the m ten years earlier. She has dropped out of college and is trying to figure out what she wants in her life.

Your second oldest daughter is Sasha. Another college dropout, she is an aspiring actress who has been struggling to make a name for herself in local plays. She is very direct, not sugarcoating her words, being prone to swearing and speaking her mind. She has a turbulent relationship with Paris that regularly leads to conflict.

Your youngest daughter is Miracle. She is extremely shy and prone to panicking in crowds. An aspiring writer, she spends much of her time reading and writing short stories with her best friend Sabrina. She is the first to show an interest in her father, flashing her underwear at him while he takes her to the mall to get the newest book from her favorite author.

The fourth girl is Sabrina, Miracle's best friend. While not the MC's daughter, he and his daughters have always treated her as family. She sees the MC as a father figure since she has no male role model in her life. She and Miracle struggle to write an erotic scene in their current story due to a lack of experience.

There are five endings. One for each girl, plus a harem ending. I pursued all four girls throughout the story, and, at the end, chose to view Paris' and the harem ending. Harems are not really my thing so I cannot say if it was good or not, though I was pleased to see it was one where the MC cared for them as people and not sex objects. Paris' story and ending was really well done though. I grew to care for all the girls but Paris was the one I really took a liking to. No spoilers but she does learn why her mother left and really fits into a mother's role by the end of the story.

Visuals: The renders are top notch. Very realistic facial structures and body types for all of the characters. The girls range from smaller A cup busts up to C cup and there is a much appreciated lack of zero g breast physics. The one thing I found odd was Miracle's skin tone. The MC, Paris, Sasha and their mother are very light skinned. Miracle has fairly dark skin close to a bi_racial tone. Being a shut in, I doubt she tanned but I dunno. Not a deal breaker, just an observation. The MC has an above average penis size but not comically large. Scene lighting is also nice. The game is mostly from a first person perspective but the kissing scenes are pretty well done. I always dread kissing scenes because you oftentimes get views down their throat like you're a dentist. That wasn't an issue here.

Audio: I tend to play games without audio so I can't speak for that aspect.

Content: Fairly vanilla sexual content here. Mutual masturbation, deepthroating, cunnilingus, blow job's, missionary, doggy, etc. Brief urination but not in the water sports sense. In the harem ending, there was minor analingus and in Paris' ending, there was some pregnancy intercourse. I would estimate three to five hours of content but it's very solid content.

I highly recommend a playthrough.

The story is enjoyable, the romance buildup is well done, the characters are all loveable and different enough from each other.
The art style is pleasing to the eye (Paris is particularly well done)

I enjoyed it for the most part. I agree with lots of other reviews here that it was very short. But the fact that being short is a negative means it was entertaining.

As usual, I will state that the art (renders, models, etc) dont matter much for my review. But the models/renders themselves werent bad. There were a few things that were annoying, like the top ramen pubs on Sasha. Seriously, that should not have made it into a game. Ever. Like fucking snakes or worms. Many cringe. But otherwise no real issues.

I think the Naked and Terrified idea was kinda... weird. And not well done (not sure you can do that well, so it should have been something else). But overall, I liked the characters and the story. I think it could/should have been about twice as long. There was so much more that could have kept this going.

Also, I ran into a bug (I chose the harem ending and used a WT mod, which may have caused it, but I dont think so)

Ive heard a lot of negative about this dev, but my first time with their content was not bad. Makes me scared to try their newer stuff. But... if their biggest fail is that they write a bunch of short (but decent) stories, I might not mind.

Here's what I think after playing Picture Perfect v1.0.

The graphics and characters are gorgeous, The sex scenes are great and I liked the POV shots and the dirty talk, though it would be better if these scenes are animated. The story is great as it is simple but full of positivity amidst all of the negativities. I liked that there is a harem route. The characters together with their personalities, traits and individual stories are well made.
Overall, I can say that it is a great game with a great story.

Short but Sweet would be the best way to describe this game.

Story 4/5 - The beginning of the story is great, as its much rarer to see a Father MC trying to get with his daughters, than the typical teenage boy banging his older siblings and mom... so bonus points for that... that said it loses one point due to how short it is... You get to bang each Heroine once, and boom, the individual endings pop up... would have liked more time with the daughters before the story finished... and obviously more sex.

Characters 5/5 - I liked all the characters, the girls were all remarkably different, and stood out from each other, their personalities felt fun and real for the most part, from their abandonment issues and disabilities to the quirks each one had.

Graphics 4/5 - Renders were ok for a first timer, but not spectacular, he can only improve with time, seeing as this was his first game after all. The sex scenes could also be longer with different positions per scene... instead of just a few renders per session and in the same sex position.

For it's size, I expected more sex scenes.
This game is far more story heavy than porn scenes.
Quite good though. Nice story, interesting humor, nice feels on occasion.

It was alright, story tad weak, scenes were nice. the game didn't feel like much of a game and rather felt like a visual novel. The "corruption" feel to these kind of games was missing drastically, and pacing was all weird. Wasn't the best wasn't the worst. Just a fairly meh game overall. Very quick too.

Great Story, Great Animation, Wholesome moments, Overall A great Game. Would Highly recommend playing it.
Though Father Daughter is not really my preferred Genre, the game is really awesome and as I played through the game I started liking the genre .
The Game really bonds the Player with the characters.

I loved the game.

Was honestly a pretty good game. I liked the art and the girls were beautiful. The only problem I had was with the story. Its not that the story is bad because its actually a fine slice of life kind of game. The problem is that it felt really rushed. At first it starts really good with Sasha and Miracle but as soon as you start to get intimate with Paris everything is basically full speed ahead and you no longer get the same sense of build up that you were getting in the beginning. Obviously everything must reach the explosion point but it was kind of like it went from just starting out to 90% then 100%. The routes that you can get were also kind of boring and didn't really make you feel like you cared to remember any of them.

I do recommend playing it though because it is actually a good straight forward and easy game and you won't feel like you wasted your time. Just not as good as it probably could have been.

For a first game it's not bad, I feel there are a few things that could have made it much better.
The Good
Pretty decent Incest Harem AVN, as far as the overall story and characters go. MC is not super creepy, or a huge perv, so that's nice, though the incest taboo is kind of glossed over, to the point that it seems like an afterthought sometimes.
The girls look nice and have decent and varied individual story arcs, that are pretty solid, though none of them go into any real depth, so it kind of feels like you are getting the condensed version sometimes.
The interactions between the MC and the girls, and them with each other, are pretty heartfelt and endearing. A nice change of pace from the blackmailing /sleeper creepers a lot of these games have.
The Not so Good
Game desperately needs animations, and some love in the audio department. Some more sounds effects in general, and especially sexy sounds during the lewd scenes, would have made it more enjoyable.
The switch up of the visual style half-way through was a bit jarring, and with the exception of Sabrina, pretty unnecessary.
Renders were good but not great, and needed more variety of expressions, and poses, especially during the lewd scenes. If no animations, the sex scenes need to last longer than a few frames.
Endings were not consistent, and felt a bit rushed. Didn't feel right to introduce new characters and only have them for a few lines.
As mentioned earlier the Incest Taboo was pretty glossed over, and felt like it wasn't explored much at all.
The inner monologue with the MC should have had much more concerning this, as well as the dialogue with the MC and the girls.
MC was a bit of a dial tone, and not very interesting. Just kind of seemed like a placeholder moving the story forward, waiting for the real MC to show up.
The dialogue has some good moments and some really bad ones. The pacing and consistency between the characters and their interactions needed a bit of work. I know this is a big ask from an AVN, but others have done it, so it's worth mentioning.
Overall worth a play, as it's not super long or offensively bad, but I'm hoping for much improved games from this Dev in the future.

Decent entry but not super incredible. Felt like it could have used a bit more in the animation and render department. That said, definitely worth a run through and I enjoyed the experience. Big fan of Miracle!

The game starts out quite good with likeable characters and a solid story but sprints toward the end. There is no middle to this game to my eyes; there is little character progression nor story progression. You get some slight interaction with each character but delve no deeper than skin depth after which you either choose or don't choose to have a sexual relationship.

I only played the Harem ending and have no plans to try the others but even it was lackluster. The majority is taken up with a roleplaying session and random trip to a theme park (albeit with surprise guests).

Very good story and renders. The characters are also well developed and even if the ending is left a little open (for some planned DLC) everyone has their own.
Dev wanted to show us his vision and i'd say he succeeded so i hope he will continue to work with this universe and these characters!

Not animated, renders average at best, way too much talking at the beginning, very poor conversation and talking style including the worst British accent in recorded history, story progression laughable and not in a good way, unfortunately not good enough

Pretty good game with nice characters, good story with 5 diff paths. The renders are good and the animations are ok. I'd like to see a sequel since i found it kinda short. Also the crossover with the devs other games is pretty neat.

The characters were all great. I'd have liked it to be a little longer tbh I feel like I want to get to experience all the characters more. Extra points for natural looking and sized breasts. I'm all about the characters, and each of them were great and left me wanting more.

A beautiful and funny game. Each of the women is amazing and lovable in their own way. I rarely played a harem game where I found the personalities of the love interests as alluring as the naughty bits and this is among my favourites.

very nice incestious game with harem ending, story is nice with some silliness (as always on these kind of games) but still works nicely.

very nice graphics (not top notch but do their job), each character is different (besides youngest daughter and her friend who are bit same) and all are interesting.
