Initially, MC and Julia do Cornell's favor because he has helped them a lot in their time of need, and Cornell doesn't act aggressively when the game has 0 corruption points.
Cornell is acting aggressively for two reasons: because his values dictate that it's actually fun and beneficial, and because he knows that both MC and Julia are enjoying it (aka Corruption point high).
In that sense, I don't think the blackmail path makes sense, it's not in keeping with MC's character, and I don't think Julia would condone it.
Although that could change because Cornell has a different agenda.

In America's idea of "the melting pot", it is much more common and accepted. And.. modern popular culture (music, sports) portrays certain traits to some ethnic groups too.
I'm not so sure if that's true, this is kinda offtopic and I'll keep it mercifully short, but it seems like enthusiasts for the bbc porn fetish vastly overestimate the percentage of women who fetishize black men.
That's separate from mixed couples - I'd agree with you there's much more tolerance in the US for this, no one bats an eye. The reason he puts up with it is because he's a cuck. At the beginning of the game, the choice isn't about if he has the fetish. The mc's fantasizes and then makes a choice of whether or not to share that fantasy with Julia. Cornell, as we can tell from his previous partners, likes conquering other men's wifes/girlfriends, so he's naturally going to try to take liberties because it's what gets him excited. Now he starts small with easily excused things like a kiss that's a bit over the top on passion, but as he does more and sees the mc continuing to give him the green light, the more uninhibited his actions become. Julia won't ruin it because she's enjoying it all, and the mc won't say anything because despite never seeming to have explored his fetish before, he's loving every new experience.
I have to say, I am quite happy with the cuck/sharing path being split into separate cuck or hotwife/sharing paths. Despite having played the other games, I don't remember if the dev has ever put in cleanup fetish for his games. It could've been added with this update, but maybe that's another rung on the ladder of progressive depravity that we've yet to reach?
All of this is exactly the way that I perceive the story as well. It's why I love the game as much as I do, and why I struggle so much with some of the grossly bad takes that have been posted on this forum.
In Lost in Paradise, there is a cleanup route.
Julia is a smart girl, so maybe there's a route for her to wake up from their fantasy and clean up. Of course, only if the MC isn't cheating and has been faithful to her all along.
lol, I wasn't referring to clean up as in cleaning up her act and being faithful to mc again. Rather, I meant cleaning up after Cornell at the end of their hot and messy fun.

That's right, I just went back to replay again out of curiosity and sure enough! I guess then it's a safe bet that we'll probably get something like that in a future update for this game as well. Not sure how many more updates are planned to continue the story but I'm guessing the dev is running into that same old problem of thinking 0.9 will naturally be updated to 1.0 rather than 0.10. Hope it doesn't cause any headaches or attempts to rush for an ending due to worrying about running out of version numbers. There's still so much stuff that could happen and I'm looking forward to seeing it all!
The previous version was 0.9, and this one is 0.95. I've been visiting the patreon every day for almost a week, thirstily waiting for an update, and when a new update came out, I was both happy that it was 0.95 and not 1.0 and frustrated that I had to wait to see the end again.
I think the next one will probably be 0.96 or maybe 1.0 depending on the response (mainly patreon), but for now I hope it's 0.96 and I hope MC and Julia's adventures last longer.

I'm using the Universal Ren'py mod to play the game which allows me to access this "route".
1. In my main playthrough, MC remembers he can still check what his girl friend is doing with his phone and catches her and Cornell being a bit too close. He sends her a message that he wants to see her but she ignores it and goes to take a shower with Cornell.
2. MC then sneaks into Julia and Cornell's cottage to do the 2nd "dare". He gets a message from her asking if he is alright and then, without asking for permission, she starts fucking Cornell behind MC's back.
3. During the sex, MC goes to grab the condoms thinking that will stop the two from fucking but it only makes things worse as they now do it raw. MC peaks from under the bed to confirm it because he is in disbelief and catches Cornell creampying Julia.
4. Lastly, MC runs out of the cottage without confronting the two.
