Using other engines isn't in his plans at the moment, because of time + he does have a job in real life... So...It might be hard considering creating a new game with a new engine if there aren't enough pledges to encourage him @Chaixas_games did a rpgm game Milf's Building but I believe they were not getting any support for it
Creating a game, even a Visual Novel takes a lot of time (especially modeling).
I really don't have the time to work under Unity or Unreal Engine.
For now, I'm concentrating on making a quality game under renpy.
