Is there a new updated version of the game since 2023 ?

Not yet. There is a friend urging Hinoarashi to not release the next version until the Elite 4 are done. Since Victory Road and Elite 4 battle music have been previewed, I'm guessing that advice is being followed.
If you want more content, I linked to two forks with new scenes a few pages back.

I've got a problem where the game just won't open. I double click on the game, but it just won't open. No error messages, no instant open and closing, nothing. Does anyone have a solution?
What are you trying to play it on? RPG Maker XP relies on Windows-specific functions, so if you're trying to play it on something else, you'll need an emulator.
Are you double-clicking on Game.exe or something else?

It's on windows, nothing else beside that. Before, I'd just download, unzip, and play. Now, nothing works.
And yes, I'm double-clicking and even right-click 'open' on the game.exe since there's nothing else to click on (besides the config and that's not it)
If there's nothing else to click on, are you sure you extracted the whole archive?
What version did you download?
Also, the game is known to not do well with special characters in the file path.

I downloaded the one on here, so the latest I guess? And yes, I've deleted and extracted it several times. Even changed the name of the folders in case there was an issue with that, but no dice. I was hoping it would be a common issue, but it looks like it's just me. I even made sure antivirus didn't fuck with it.

When you say 'before', what do you mean?
Where did you place it? I'm 90% certain Programs has some special protections that can cause problems (in the name of 'security', IIRC).
You could try a different RPG Maker XP game and see if it works.

Yeah, it's a 1-to-1 copy of what I have. I changed the name to 'Ecchi' because I knew it wouldn't work with the special characters, but that didn't do anything. I switch the file around, even had it on downloads for a quicker access, but nothing works, even with the antivirus turned off for that specific folder. And I played it a year or two ago, and didn't have issues like this at all.
It sounds like something changed between then and now about your system. A computer expert I know recommends re-installing Windows every once in a while, to get rid of accumulated errors, but that's kind of a nuclear option for most people.
I have it in a 'My Games' folder, separate from Programs.
12-23-2023 is the latest.

Honestly, I blame the newer version of Windows 11. Or it's just my shitty laptop being shitty. Regardless, thanks for trying to help. I really appreciate it. I'll keep messing around with it to see if I can get it to work somehow.
Have you tried running it in any compatibility modes?
Google says Windows XP, Service Pack 3.

I tried everything from windows 95 to 8. Still doesn't work.
I'm all out of ideas. I guess all I can do now is wish you good luck.
And ask that if you do solve it, come back and tell us how, so if anybody else has the same problem we can tell them how to fix it.
