As of Monday at 8:43 AM, 03/29/2021, we at Sneaky Kitty Studios were contacted by a legal representative of Hasbro Inc. concerning our use of MY LITTLE PONY® Copyrights and Trademarks.

We have been given a cease request, and have entered into negotiations with Hasbro Inc.'s representation.

We are still waiting back on a number of proposals, none of which we will reveal at this time due to legal concerns.
Thank you for all the support and patience you've given to us over these years. We will be suspending patreon charges until negotiations have been finalized, and the website will be taken down until we have a more solid grasp of what's going to happen.
We will keep you updated as things unfold. Whatever the case, this is not the end of Sneaky Kitty Studios.

Damn you Hasbro, right as I finally play the game after having it downloaded for the long time and I find out about this.
Also on another note, if this game doesn't die due to Hasbro's asshole management , I wish there was a way to check what version the game is running, not even the credits page has the version number on it.

Just like disney or nintendo wont allow any usage of their characters to be put into sexual +18 games, art, animations.

same goes for hasbro of not allowing the usage of MLP a franchise of Kids and apparently adults to be distributed into that manner , same happened with Fighting its magic and at least they managed to deliver dem fightin herds so negociations are an absolute 0% chances of them being allowed of keep going on this project.

Yeah that makes no fucking sense. It's not scummy at all. If it's a love letter to the thing you enjoyed, you would ideally be willing to adapt and not just throw away all your work. Them's Fightin Herds did that and changed designs and names to avoid the C&D and it's still clearly a love letter to MLP:FiM.

That would be at the discretion of the purchaser, though the chances of Hasbro letting that go without being bought out directly for a fuck-load of a money are pretty slim.

I agree here. Especially with the copyright laws. Originally it was 28 years I think, but corporations adjusted it so it can be a 100 years before anything fanmade can be made.

Corporations are indeed not your friend.

It is a warning example to be careful when making fan projects. One must be secretive enough so that it won't get on the radar of any big corporation. Even more so if we are talking about companies that rather eagerly throw C&D around. Aside from Hasbro, Nintendo has a rather bad reputation for that. I can instantly recall 2 instances of where artists (and we are really talking about only artists here, no game-making) got struck down because they have a Patreon and draw Pokemon porn... They moved away from it, creating original characters while continuing what they do. They are doing themselves a disservice with this. Not like they will ever put out Pokemon Porn Games from the fans, so it isn't like they are losing any profits...

I understand why people would get mad and is disappointed with Silk's choice with going forward, I only experienced this kind of frustration on a graduation thesis, imagine spending time and effort to create something, only for it to be cancelled. If this was me, I would simply reskin the characters. The art, assets, codes and story I made would simply be a waste. I know it can be used for a new story but the story they made was already exceptional, I could be biased since its basically harvest moon/rune factory plot of a guy joining a village, work to repair/improve home and bang the locals.
