I would genuinely give the 3rd one a skip though, it's not even worth downloading. I know this circle's games have gone really downhill lately and are just the minimum effort, but this one is something else:
So the thing is, this dev is trying to add more context to those games, make them more grounded and set in more realistic scenarios. This game is no exception. There are some dialogues, more varied scenes (harassment, coercion), some puzzles so it's not just running around collecting shines. The quality of all this stuff... varies but some people really care about context in erotic scenes so for them this is an upgrade.
I liked very much their game featuring saleswoman going around trying to sell sex toys. You had to do some research on items you were trying to sell, test it on yourself and use seduction to make sales. It introduced new jank and annoyances but added context make it more erotic.
The other reason why I'm fine with this shift is the fact that they still make games in the old style (avoiding getting caught) under another circle: namamanju.
Remember the run or rape theme from pool job 1 and 2? Gone
Not completely gone because there are 3 or 4 "dungeons" with 2 scenes each where you have to complete puzzles while running away from enemies. There is also a pool with 4 scenes that works this way.
now it's a "walk around and press Z on everything (because nothing glows or has a ! or anything) and sometimes you will get a "do you want to be raped? yes/no" choice. And that's it, thats the game. No health, no minigames.
Or you can talk to npcs and they'll tell you what to do. First npc you meet tells you that you have to ask other staff what to do or ask people if then need anything... Items/places that you can interact with are still highlighted with some exceptions (which is annoying but it's not hard to figure out).
You have health in some sections where you have to complete puzzles while running away. You get caught 3 times, you go back to the starting room.
In fact he seems to almost even be padding out the game time by putting almost invisible dirt in the first zone you have to clear, after 10 minutes searching I just MTool cheated myself a pass to the next zone only to discover the same.
I suggest cleaning your monitor.
Next zone doesn't have cleaning and npc tells you exactly what to do.
Some valid criticism for a change:
- some puzzles are annoying with MTL,
- no clothing damage, no additional costumes, no running around naked (even though all scenes have naked version)
- some scenes are tricky/pain to unlock,
- more scenes with context means more variety (touching, harassment) but also scenes with sex,
- gameplay is less tedious/boring and more varied but this means events are more spread in some places,
- additional heroines are unlocked after finding key to gallery room and their body types are less varied (no big titty milf this time around...).
I don't criticize the change of style because it's a matter of preference and their "sister circle" already released 3 "spiritual successors" to Pool Job games (the same style: collect stuff and run away from npcs): RJ01172244, RJ01187129, RJ01123327...
