I've got a small non-adult menu based game that I keep meaning to throw together and I'm wondering how nice the ecosystem is?

Good tutorials available for G3? GScript much hassle to deal with? Scene loading and unloading easy enough or is it one of those engines where people end up putting everything in one scene and working around It?

How you finding It?

How you finding It?

Pretty simple. I find it way easier than unity.
Godot is especially good with menus and 2D.
People are saying 3D just got way better with g3 but i wouldnt know.
Docs also got a lot better.

If you know python then you'll learn gdscript in half an hour. c# is another offical language in g3.
Once you figure out the node tree it gets super easy to do whatever you like. Watch few videos or go through docs and see for yourself.
I love it. Plus it's free and open source.

I'm personally opposed to anything that is a visual editor (mostly because visual editors are generally garbage) but Godot by far is one of the more better and simplified ones that makes it good for entry level also it integrates fairly well with C#.

I know you are asking Mbmb's opinion but I think entry level game engines are for porn games you generally fall under one of three categories, 1 visual novel, you can use other engines but Ren'py is the best at VN and there is a way of integrating C# in to Python for faster math and such. 2. strategy/management games I'd probably go with Godot for ease of programming and bug fixing (I noticed that Godot games are more quickly bug fixed then Unity.), and RPG games is of course the dreaded Rpg Maker, now Rpg games can be done in Renpy, Godot, Unity, and a plethora of other engines but in terms of entry level of getting to understand what mechanics are need or required for an RPG, you really can't go wrong with RPG maker as most of the custom coding is publicly available. now don't get me wrong all the engines can do what the others do it's just each has it's own unique quirks and strengths and well Unity can do pretty much anything but if you're inept it'll greatly show, atleast Ren'py, Godot, and Rpg Maker will give you opportunities to learn and expand at your own pace with little to no feeling of being in over your head.

so figure out what you want to make the game be first and then go from there.

The game freezes a lot (its no new) and in the last version come of the parts are black. Looks like the game need an absurd amount of memory to run "correctly". Maybe the dev needs to do separated parts to load it, sorry about my english

Game rarely goes over 200Mb VRAM. Maybe it's the compression i used, idk.
What's your system specs?

all i did is download the version on the front page, the 71aversion, and loaded it up exactly the same way i did for all the previous versions, unless there was a severe change in the settings, i have no idea what would've caused it...unless of course it has anything to do with the Mr. Rocco option. mind you if it helps any, im running Windows 7 64 bit still, so if there's any compatibility issue there, i couldn't begin to tell you where

::Edit. played through intro without any codes, tried compatibility mode for a few different windows versions, still the same issue, I may redownload and try another fresh version, but no idea what is causing it and no idea if anyone else is getting that either

Is the girl's back side body also blacked/transparent. If you go in the sexscene you should see it. Can you please test this

Yes in all places the backside,. front, everything female body and face wise is transparant, only the add ons like hair, clothes, jewelery, etc are viewable, the guy has no issue being seen. but I just went though and looked and it's all the same issue

April 1st can't come fast enough. :tf: But on a more serious tone, people have told us that the transparency issue was fixed after starting a new game. It seems we have to put a warning for these situations. I realize people might start to become annoyed by this but the game's last 4-5 months were full of big coding changes.
