I get what you're saying, but I still maintain that Sterling has voluntarily committed questionable acts. We can probably absolve him when he's affected by the recent, ultra-strength aphrodisiac. But for most of the story, we get to read enough of Sterling's thoughts to know that he knows better. He's been clear-headed enough to try and manipulate or deceive the women into sex several times, which shouldn't be hand-waved away with the drug excuse. I'm not complaining about it, if anything it's an interesting part of the story: to see if he can balance love and lust, or if he becomes a monster like Hunter.I mean, for months he's been being continuously dosed with massive amounts of human growth hormone in addition to all the inhibition reducing shit and god knows what else Hunter's been pumping through the vents. Of course he's gotten more sexually aggressive. Dude's grown half a foot and put on fifty pounds of muscle since the summer began.
As to taking advantage, keep in mind they only just figured out about the aerosol spray being pumped through the air conditioning. He knew hunter was trying to drug the family, but he thought he'd foiled those efforts. It took him forever to realize the obvious, but nobody ever said Sterling was a genius before his grandfather started pumping him full of enough psychoactive drugs to give St. Francis a psychotic break. At this point, how's anyone supposed to have any intact standards of normal behavior with which to notice if someone's behavior is "off"?
Also, Sterling's lucky that Caspian was into being cucked. One day, in his pursuit of pussy, Sterling might cross paths with a jealous man who could murder him, not unlike some of the alternate endings where Hunter dies.
