Sorry, another question that suddenly comes, this one is about Aliza.

Duriing the reading club, do you remember what books were brought. I remember the Manchurian candidate was used because there is a story of incest between a mother and son so used for foreshadowing but otherwise, is there a mentions of other book.

The only other book that I remember them reading was called "50 Shades of Blacked", which is an obvious joke about the real book "50 Shades of Grey". Aliza said: "It's about a young woman who gets trapped in the web of a wealthy entrepreneur as she slowly becomes subservient to his every debaucherous whim."

Interesting as considering the word "blacked" in the title there I would have think it meant something else...

Oh and some terrible news. WWG patreon is under review and currently suspended. It's being reviewed by the same guy who suspended the game, My Dorm. This doesn't mean his patreon is closed, but they are linking to this thread as the main culprit for the review.

WWG has washed his hands of this thread and doesn't come to this site anymore. Why he's being reviewed because a pirating site has a fan patch in it, doesn't make any sense. Hopefully they can understand that anyone can mod his game and not his fault.

I'm not sure you guys know but I've dealt with patreon they're not stupid... They take these patches seriously. Can you really say that they're fan-made ?

And masking incest patch and calling it a mandatory patch is not fooling anyone.
But rarely I've seen any developer that's targeted so hard. ICSTOR was targeted as well, because of his stupid mistake wherein the dialogue of the game had like class 6 or 8 something and MC was banging her. Afterwards changes were because patreon shut that down.

Patreon loves money like any other business but they go hard on policies.

Edit: when the dev comments on patreon to take all troubleshooting to discord, if one of the steps of the game to function and work smoothly is the fan-made patch then it's not helping the case.

Imagine an illicit fan-made mod for Skyrim stopping sales of Skyrim on Steam. That's what Patreon is essentially trying to do in these cases. It's draconian and insane.

That was put into the game by the developers and was later patched out because sex in a game is a big no, no.

But having a bar, strip club, hookers and killing random people is apparently fine.

The "Hot Coffee" mod was a fan made patch that re-instated the cut content.

edit: fan made patches don't stop the game though in Skyrim, and crash the game; but in PV it does do that if you don't apply the patch

I assume Payreon likes money, which is why they're cracking down on certain kinds of content, to protect their ability to transact through PayPal etc. However, it's a foolish overreach to crack down on these patches, because there should be enough deniability to absolve Patreon of responsibility. It's not about Patreon "figuring it out"; they shouldn't even care. As long as there's no direct connection, they should just sit back and make money from these kinds of games.

I wasn't specifically referring to a prior post of yours, just the person I did target in the reply. I think the criteria I listed were fairly specific and well worded. If the mandatory patch is dev made and has incest, then Patreon has a case per their current rules. If it's not dev made but is still mandatory to play without bugs, it still doesn't violate Patreon's rules as it isn't part of the release package, and wasn't produced by the developer.

I can't tell by looking at LewdPatcher who made it, so I can't judge either way.

From what I've read in multiple topics on F95, Patreon is attempting to extend the incest violation policy (among others) from base games to include fan-made patches. Which is of course, ludicrous, draconian, and unrealistic.

And you're right - incest and other items that violate policies on subscription platforms should be moved to fan made packages. If they're part of anything the dev does, they should just steer clear of Patreon for now. OR, find creative workarounds like allowing name/pronoun changes within the game's framework.
