That's it, I finally did it. I finally completed my potential what-if? I tried to remain as authentic as possible to the themes of the game while also remaining faithfull to the characters as much as possible while also introducing a new fetish. What if the american government mandates many white family in america to participate in a social activity to "fight racism". Sterling harem get taken away from him by a professional agent sent to his house to "familiarise" the family? (Interracial + NTR)
In this what if? Hunter is dead, gone, he has dissapeared after a time, whatever the reason he is not present. But the drugs is still in uses in the house.
The idea is to explore a new fetish that was teased by Ophelia a few chapter before, interracial. And it is also an excellent opportunity for comedy and make jokes about government, society, twitter, etc. I mean the point of the premise is very ridiculous so the developper can took full advantage of it for humor purpose.
INTRODUCTION
The news is broadcasted in television and the president herself (yes she is a woman) says that it is necessary for the american people to face systemic racism but also the history of racism in this country and for that, many white family have to participate in this social program in order to fight biggotry. Only certain families will have to participate for now but this is an important step for biggotry to die down.
Sterling says that considering they are not racist, there is little chance they will be chosen. Ophelia agrees and says that as people of New Jersey, they didn't need war to abolish slavery in their state this is probably for the southern states like Mississipi or Alabama... And days later the bell rings, Sterling goes to open the doors and sees a muscular handsome black man in a full suit with a tie. He present himself as a government agent that requires to speak to the family of this house...
He goes to the living room and explain to them that this is a very serious program that the government is enforcing in order to make citizen to be conscious about biggotry and the history of racism in the USA. For the time to come, he will remain in their house and live with them in order to teach them about racism.
At first it seem completely innocent as the agent is explaing them the basic principles... He makes a powerpoint presentation about how horrible slavery was but he also speak about american history. Ophelia ask him that as people from new Jersey, shouldn't they be proud of the fact that their states was on the right side of the civil war and abolished slavery before the 13th amendment of 1865?
The agent is glad that Ophelia brings the topic because this is much more complicated than it seems. Yes New jersey technically abolished slavery in 1804 BUT the state went for a gradual emancipation with compensation to slave owners, New Jersey was the last of the Northern states to abolish slavery completely. There was still 7557 slaves in this state in 1820, 16 years after the official abolition.
Which means that New Jersey kept a strong slave culture , and this prevented it from reaching it's full potential. He then explain what potential was lost when he moves on to the problem inbreeding and how it was a terrible cultural aspects of this country where first cousing marriage was not uncommon at some point. Inbreeding led to individual who were weaker to resist disease and their were less strong than the one who had genetic diversity. And unfortunately this states this allows such acts to happen, one of the only two states that still does along with Rhode island.
Catherine quickly asked what does inbreeding have to do with racism that this program is suppose to fight? The agents tells her that this is an excellent question. The agent follows by saying that racist people had the ideas of keeping their bloodline "pure" and by that, they meant that they wanted no foreginers in their DNA, no race-mixing and this lead to many negative for future generation.
First of all, this insistence of the white to never breed with any other person of color meant that one of the easiest way to obtain genetic diversity that should have happened long ago did not happen, which leads to an overall less diverse human species that could have strenghtened the american people. But also it made people more biggoted due to the illusion of a superior race as it allow them to easily differentiate the slaves from the masters with specific unique genetic traits.
The agent explains to them how much was missed by this obsession of different races and if the american people back then did not give so much attention to that, if it neither allowed inbreeding or racism to thrives, this nation would be not just stronger but more moral and unfortunately it didn't took this path.
Brenna jokingly ask if it is morally wrong to have a lover that is of the same ethnicity (as the agent seems to be so serious about the positive of mixing race). The agent tell her that this is an excellent question, it is not morally wrong to love or to have a relationship with someone of your ethnicity BUT in no way should you selfishly desire your kids to have your specific genetic traits, because it means that you promote status quo genetics. If you indeed are not racist, you shouldn't care if your offspring has the same skin color as you.
and he jokingly adds that neither should you have incestuous relationship as this not just unhealthy but it comes at the risk of inbreeding. But of course he says they already knew that... And everyone in the room tell the agent they agree... while looking slightly uncomfortable about this joke and making side eyes...
The agent tells everyone that this will be the end of the presentation as he needs to meet them separately in private. And he start with Sterling, and he ask him if he would mind if any member of his family would be dating a black man?
Sterling say that he does not mind as he is not in a position to reveal that he has been having sex with his family and he wouldn't like it if ANY men would seduce them... But he realise that if he is honest, it would sound either racist or at least very weird that he wants no man getting intimate with them. So he answer that he does not mind... but the agent quickly catches that Sterling is NOT fully honest.
The agents asks Sterling if he is dating a girl. Sterling says that there is a few he might be interested in but no definitive girl for his heart. The agent ask him what does he seek the most in a girl. Sterling then thinks of every women he had sex with... and realise that all of them are gorgeous but he does not want to sound shallow by mentionning that he really loves woman with huge boobs and ass that also have pretty faces. So he says that he is looking for a woman with a great personality.
The agent ask him if he cares about the body, the face, the skin color... The moment Sterling hear these words, he is certain that this is a trick question in order to declare him a racist and since he does not want that to happen he loudly declares that he care about none of that, the personality is what matters the most. The agent ask him specifically if he does not even prefer big boobs on a woman and Sterling being so adamant to prove he is not a biggot or shallow in order to pass the tests say that this does not really matter. The agent then ask what about ass size, the beauty of the face, the lips and the rest of the body... And Sterling keep saying that this does not matter that much to him...
The agents takes notes of his words and tell Sterling he seems to be an amazing guy for being so non-superficial and caring only about the personality of the woman of his heart... that is an impressive and admirable quality of him. Sterling is happy thinking that he passed the tests, the agent tell him he can leave for now and once Sterling is out, he tells himself that he will makes sure to "test" his words.
Afterwards, Ophelia speak with Sterling and admit that the financial situation is getting worst and Sterling is now going to have troubles helping her with that while the program is happening. Ophelia tell him that she might have to take difficult decision and make Sterling swear to understand if she does. Sterling begrugingly agrees but tell her he will find a way.
Then the conversation turns to things who are a bit more "interesting" as Ophelia tells him that if he really wants to go all in on her. Sterling gets a bit touchy and Ophelia reciprocate. Unknown to these two, The agent has been observing the scene from afar with a smile on his face with this knowledge... he makes a sound so that they would stop what they are doing and go back to their place.
OPHELIA
Time passes and at one point Ophelia is cooking. The agent come behind and ask her if he can help. Ophelia tells him that she would love some assistance as cooking for an entire family can be exhausting. While the agents helps her cutting vegetables, he ask if her children helps her sometime. She says that Sterling does it sometime but Brenna and Catherine tries to escape their responsability. The agent sympatise with her saying that children are always a hard job. But Ophelia says that she still love them.
The agent then suggest to her tha he uses a special techniques to make home made fries that are much more healthy than the one who are frozen, without oils and fresh potatoes. Ophelia is surprises and says that she does not mind. The agent shows his skill and Ophelia is impressed, he also adds that if she wants he can bring a spicy sauces for her meal. Ophelia demands to see it, and the agents using fresh ingredient manages to make the tasy sauces just enough to excite the toungue but not too much to burn it...
Ophelia is impressed and ask him where di he learn such things, he admits to be fan of cooking shows and especially MOMables - Laura Fuentes. Ophelia is suprised he watches cooking shows. And the agents ask her if she is surprised because he is black or because he is a man... Ophelia quickly defends herself saying that she isn't racist and it had nothing to do with skin color it had everything to do with him being a muscled man so he does not look like the type who would watch cooking shows.
The agent tells her that as a black man, he had to deal with a lot of food deserts all of his childhood and teenage years, his community suffered a lot from that and to this very day african american are the ones who have to double down if they want to survive the danger of food poisoning and one of the way is to learn to cook. He explains that for privileged white people who have more acess to health care learning to eat better can be ignored but for many black people it is a survival mechanism as they many times don't have the choice to eat healthy if they want to love longer. Ophelia has a sad face tells him she sympatise with him. The agents tells her that he appreciate the attention and her willingess to listen to him.
During the meal, all the family is around the table and they are all joking and having fun, they are a united family with tons of happiness in the air and the agent takes notes of that. Catherine asks how the fries seems to be different than usual. The agent tells her that it's because he cooked them himself and he made sure to not use oil because he make them healthy. Catherine is pleasently surprised that these fries are so good yet contains less calories. But then she immediatly switch to ask about the sauce and the agent tells her that he is the one who did with only fresh ingredients... Catherine admits being impressed with his talent and Ophelia has some admiration about such a manly man being such a great cook at the same time...
Days passes and the agents decides to watch soap opera with Ophelia. She is again surprised that he is interested in such type of entertainment. He admits to not be a close follower but he remember the time where he didn't have access to cable during his childhood so he would watch whatever he could and soap opera were one of them. Ophelia thinks it's going to be a time where he reminds her of systemic racism but suprisingly, the agent just tells her that he has some nostalgia for that kind of shows. Reminding him when he was able to enjoy the small things.
Then they talk about that time in the third season of that soap opera where Brenda cheated on Jason with Johny. The agent says he was devastated as jason was his favorite character and Ophelia says she felt she same betrayal as Brenda was suppose to be better than her mother... And with times, both of them links on the fact that they are both middle age people born in 1980's...
The days passes and the agent ask Ophelia to meet her privately, He then ask her about her occupation. Ophelia admit that she does not do much here apart of being a mother and that she sometimes ask herself if she could have done more... The agent tell her that there is nothing wrong with being a mother at home. Taking care of her kids is a noble goal. Ophelia thank him for these words.
The agent follow by saying that the new program of the US government is not just to fight racism but at the same time encourage the birth rates and heal american demography. Any family that carries a black baby will receive significant amount of money and they are not even forced to raise them herself if she does not want to, but simply accepts of being a surrogate mother.
Ophelia is a bit uncomfortable at that part and the agents notices that. He ask her if she dissaproves of such a decision by the government. Ophelia say that while this is good for the people who are in these kind of relationship, she ask why does this help does not extend to the white couples?
Ophelia also says that she consider that every people should be taken care off by the government, shouldn't white people having babies help nationnal demography? The agents that it's due to systemic racism in place for so long that the government trying to do a bit more to catch up and at the time fix the racism as much as possible... He also admits that her family was not chosen randomly for this program as there is another reason for his presence...
The government is trying to promote genetic diversity in it's population, and he also tells her that the government has found that her family is known to have certain level of inbreeding in her DNA. Ophelia is shocked at this revelation but said that this cannot be true. The agent shows her the copy of blood test she and her relatives had and the results are not lying...
And considering what he saw between her and her son in the living room, there seems to be a pattern... Ophelia is unable to react as her secret has been found. She has tears in her eyes saying that she knows it is wrong but yet she still did it... The agent reassure her by saying that while it's very rare, it does happen that relatives stats to have feelings for one another.
Of course he also admits that it's not a good thing either but it's never too late to stop. But if inbreeding continues it could lead to complications for the next generations. And to take the right path, a black baby would be ideal for more genetic diverstiy in her family and avoid such problems...
Ophelia ask him if she is under arrest and the agent tells her that even if he wanted to imprison her, there is little he could do as they are all adults in new jersey but anyway, it does not matter because that is not his intention. He is only there to help them. The agents ask her again about how much she likes being a mother in order to give her confidence back and that she should not be ashamed as all of her 3 kids seems to have grown into being great people. Her physical relationship with one of them might be unhealty but the education she gave them seems to have been great as he has seen all 3 of them as excellent people.
Ophelia thanks the agent for his word as they indeed comfort her. The agent reminds her that she could easily bet on her biggest strenght (being a mother) to fix her her financial situation, this program would solve any money problems she has if she agrees to carry a black baby. Because then she would welcome in her womb a child with more genetic diversity than the one she could have gotten from a white man and even more so from the one she might have gotten from Sterling. And all of her money problems would go away...
Ophelia thanks the agents for the suggestion but say that she is not THAT desperate to simply have a kid just like that... and the agents would ask her what does she man by "THAT" desperate, subtly accusing her of biggotry as perhaps she is simply against the idea of having a child from a black man...
Ophelia defend herself that she is not racist. She simply wants to have a baby with someone she will live with and have sex with. She hates the idea of a medical process impregnating her with in vitro fertilization. For her, reproduction needs to be both psychological and physical. The agent ten tells her that he does not mind being the one who could give that to her. After all they have been getting friendly so if she is willing to give him a chance...
