Unless your IP gives you a static address just by simply restarting your router will give you a new ip and you can resume the download

It's not a full game you aren't suppose to start a new game just load a save from chapter 9 and play or else wait for the full release. (Ch9 saves are already shared use the search in case you don't have one)
