This update is taking a long time, the last one happened in January 2024. Can anyone who has been following for a longer time tell me what the average time is between updates? Another question, will we have an update before the end of the year?

The average time has always increased after every update, because every update gets bigger. The render count, animation count and quality. The quality kinda peaked already, but if you notice the first few chapters compared to later chapters, you'll see how he gets better with lighting, posing and animating. if you're asking because you want to figure out how long we have to wait for the next update, the expected time is 1 year. Sometime in late December to somewhere in January is what most of us are expecting.

Looking back at recent chapters, there's a trend of increasing development time, which coincides with each chapter being bigger than the previous one.
Chapter 09 - Oct 2021
Chapter 10 - Jun 2022 (~8 mo.)
Chapter 11 - Mar 2023 (~9 mo.)
Chapter 12 - Jan 2024 (~10 mo.)
Chapter 13 - Dec 2024* (~11 mo.) *guessing

I don't remember if he used that extra month to work on the game more. I would call it more of a delay, than development time if he didn't actually work on it. it could have been ready to go, but patreon wasn't reviewing his game/account at the time.
Let me rephrase, one of those took an extra month to come out due to patreon shenanigans. one of those chapters would have come out within the same time frame of the last one (maybe) if patreon hadn't been a douche is what I'm saying.
