You guys are right if we the fans do not hold these developers accountable for their actions then they will feel they can do as they wish for example take over a year in development for a AVN.
If the release date is pushed out, I hope he clarifies the situation at least two weeks in advance.
Whatever difficulty he had at initially, there was no need for him to conceal it just to expose it in a later post when he wanted to move the date forward again. This makes him appear really dishonest.
And that's not even counting all of the development updates leading up to the stated March release date.
What was he talking about in those dev updates when he claimed 70%, 83%, 93%, blah-blah-blah? What was he completing? Has he altered anything? Is he redoing anything?
He isn't a new developer. He has been working on this for very long. He must understand how dishonest this all looks for him.

Considering his track record, "by the end of next month" means one month later than that so my generous prediction is that this will release by the end of August if it will release that is.

It is a very generous prediction. My prediction is that in the next dev update we will learn about his surgery. And next to that next dev update we will learn about the hospital and the doctor.

He probably understands that if he tells us exactly why he needed surgery it would have a big impact on his patronage support. He said in that one update that "things have gotten considerably worse but don't worry I'm in no immediate danger" this could mean he has a medical issue that isn't life threatening but still bad enough to hinder his work in some way that he is reluctant to explain. Which I can understand since it could drastically affect his income. The dev isn't stupid. He knows it's better to keep working on the stuff he enjoys doing while making money for the long run(especially now if he has some kind of ailment that wouldn't allow him to do certain kind of labors any longer).
I don't see his reluctance as deceit. You either believe what he says or you don't. Of course it would be nice to get some clarity from WWG but he's the one who decides if it is too personal or not. Just like how we decide if we will continue to finanacially support him or not. I'll keep my faith him. Because to me it makes the most sense to do since I love his work and hope he can continue to create more games.
