I wouldn't get your hopes upDon't like it, don't download it, don't spend time on the post. I can understand his point of view, pirating is nice for us, but it's not very good for the people making the game is it? Be reasonable towards his decision, even if you hate the paywall.
I personally will wait until more content is released towards the free public, and that's all there is to it...
A lot of devs that made it because of piracy would like a word with you for your "it's not very good for the people making the game is it ?"Don't like it, don't download it, don't spend time on the post. People could pirate it if they wanted too. But likely there is not enough content to make it worthwhile, or they don't like what they saw.A lot of devs that made it because of piracy would like a word with you for your "it's not very good for the people making the game is it ?"
For AAA games I would agree but for something like porn games where you can't really market your game piracy is a marketing choice, why do you think so many devs are releasing their games here ?
This dev wants the free marketing but without the piracy by releasing a game that can't be pirated on a piracy forum which is disingenuous to f95 community and every dev that release their games for free here.
Do you know how antivirus programs work?) Since the application is server-based and sends requests to the SERVER, which of the antiviruses decided that it was a trojan. As you can see, it’s worth including the script language interpreter in the executable file, as soon as you get “Trojan. General ”,“ Suspicious ”,“ PHP ”,“ HackTool ”and so on. If you don’t understand, do a manual analysis in the disassembler) 1 out of 70 antiviruses just decided that some piece of code is similar to some kind of virus and developers often come across this.Trojan/Win32.Wacatac detected with Virus total (Antiy-AVL) in project_elera.exe

Sorry, it turned out rough, thanks for writing here, maybe now people will know this thanks to youTrojan/Win32.Wacatac detected with Virus total (Antiy-AVL) in project_elera.exe

What I wrote?) One paid for patrons, one free for everyone. What is unfair here?Frankly I don't believe a word of what you just said.
You have not done much to instill confidence among us...
No need to be patronising dude. I posted that information because I wanted to know more about it. Not saying that this was not a false positive. Thanks you for your explaination.Do you know how antivirus programs work?) I am not so sure your assertion holds water. Many of the top projects are bringing in $2,000-$12,000 per month on Patreon despite the fact they are all available here, in their entirety. There simply is no validity to the arguments that games being posted here diminishes the revenue over-all, because they find exposure to a vastly larger audience of potential patrons than they would otherwise and there are always plenty of people that happy to support QUALITY projects. Clearly, making no money has far more to do with a lack of quality or, broad enough appeal, than it does with availability.Don't like it, don't download it, don't spend time on the post. Ugh, I'm not an active paying Patreon and can still access the content. All checks are performed on the client side. Grab any Unity engine cheat tool, for example Cheat Engine and patch all access checks. Voila, content can be downloaded and played. But it's not worth it. The style is very inconsistent, the textures low and most of the stuff is not completed. Especially the menu in some scenes like the swimming pool with the milk machine. You can customize the character but only in a very simple way like switching horns on/off.Moderator Note: Most of the content is not available in this game unless you're an active paying Patreon of this developer.
I agree, you put a paywall in front of content you're not confident enough with to expect donation in return. So you just take the money before showing the product.I am not so sure your assertion holds water. Paywalls simply never work - Any measured comparison of the revenue streams bares that conclusion.
Having said that, however, I do agree with your thesis even though the assertion used to validate said thesis is flawed. Complaining about such things is pointless, and people should simply ignore something if it does not, for any reason, appeal to them.
