Does anyone know if there will be any type of character creation or customization?

The idea is to have basic character customization with either presets or something a little more complex with changeable face features sets (like different eyes, mouths and noses) to choose from.
There are no plans for sliders as of now, aside from colors.

Can you clarify what you mean by passing interest? PE was intended to be a full, albeit smaller-scope game compared Section 7, because he felt he didn't really have the ability or funding to make Section 7 what he wanted it to be.
It's still on hold, the current project is also distinct from Section 7, it's still smaller in scope (ish), but definitely a different game.

How so?

This was going to be a full game not just a prototype or test version and the one they are working on now is not the original its practically a new project because they lost majority of the project files for both games due to hardware failure and it was a pretty big drawback.

I've yet to actually try the new one so I'm not crossings fingers again, not yet at least. I scroll through their discord every now and then and it looks like its working out fine.

Ok maybe it's my potato brain that isn't understanding this, but reading through the comments I can't tell if this game is abandoned or not. I see comments saying Sector 7 and Project Elimination are abandoned for a *third* game, but I also see comments from just 2-3 weeks ago saying the updates make this game look promising. Does Project Elimination still have the dev working on it or have they fully moved on to something else?

Last news I got was Project Extermination was made using what was left of the asset files from Section 7 and Elimination because they lost so much of their files when their hard drive broke that they pretty much have to start from scratch with both those games

I'm in the discord and I checked. They either renamed the two older games or these are completely new. I missed these because I just scroll through the wips section

So Section 7 afaik was relatively unharmed by the hard drive crash, unlike Project Elimination. Section 7 was already on-hold for project Elimination so that he could get the funds from Elimination's release to make Section 7 how he wanted.

Yeah that's pretty much how it is.

S7 is still the ultimate goal, Elimination was the side-project to make money (there'd be an NSFW version and a SFW version on steam, which would have the option for an NSFW 'mod' so it could be sold on steam) for the main project so he didn't have to rely on Patreon and had a steady income. Extermination is the current one, it's not going to be as big as S7 is intended to be.

I'm not sure if Elimination will start again, I think it'll be up for discussion once Extermination is finished or nearing completion.
