i dont get why people hate on this dev, id say out of this entire site their games are some of the best. i think people expect everything to be perfect or completed almost immediately which is kinda cringe. i love this devs stuff <3
Agreed.

Bioasshard brought me here. Great animations and concept. This new demo is on-par if not better. Both are far ahead of what I'm currently capable of in UE4 so they're both an inspiration for me personally. The only nit-picks is to reword 'quit' (space button) in the menus to 'back' and maybe swap the bashing-her-head on the ground animation to maybe having the monsters putting those large lips over her nose and mouth and kissing her into suffocation. (and thus kicking off the h-scenes) Otherwise... an absolute fantastic start... If I were mateydev I would be grinning from ear to ear with this result...

The complaint about the key navigation of the menu is known and has been reported already in the testing phase, honestly there are other priorities, but it's all in the bucket of QoL improvement (like the camera) that will eventually make it into the game, thank you for understanding.

The idea regarding the mouth to mouth instead of the head bashing in the struggle sequence is not bad...

Also, the fade to black and room change will be used in the kidnap mechanic, when you'll have to escape the hive/den/prison/whatever or get repeatedly fucked, there will also be rescue missions for other operators on your team captured in previously failed missions.
Will there be some kind of 'coruption' mechanic for getting "repeatedly fucked". I don't mean pregnancy here, but some kind of stats tracked, some gameplay effect? For example: dizziness, harder to struggle, that sort of thing. I believe you have already mentioned "infection mechanic" which is not fully decided on right now. Is it going to be just that infection mechanic or some more effects are planned?

Buffs & debuffs are planned (and are actually in this version for testing purposes); there will be 3 types:
  • permanent (mostly buffs from skill tree, you may have noticed a leveling up system that will be later be expanded)
  • semi permanent (that need items to clean up, like the infection meter after H-scenes)
  • temporary (like the medkit or the debuffs afer getting hit by spit attacks or walking near the steampipe at base)
To specifically answer your question, it is not yet clear what this "infection" wil actually do, it may evolve in some kind of "corruption", but as a survival game this has been argued to be somewhat of an unfitting mechanic, removing the "danger" from losing an encounter...the system is there, the foundation is ready to have stuff built on...

Damn, I now quite much understand why Matto hates F95. So much toxicity, i could smell it IRL. But what to expect from people, who just pirate the demo and never even supported the dev. I am a supporter. Am proud of it. And so far from all the devs i supported Matto has the most straightforward approach to his supportes i have seen so far. And i have supported devs, that released 1 demo in a YEAR with barely an update a month. Sometimes even in 2-3 months.
Anyway, i am signing off off this conversation. Pointless to even try, to convince people who never spent a dime to support a game developer to see reasons. Haters gonna hate and all that shit.
I myself enjoyed the build, let us interact with stuff we have seen so far, check out the combat system and all the cool stuff.

There's complete animation sequence for knocking unconscious the girl but then the sex animation itself is not in realtime? Why? Real time sex animations would be 200% better. Are orgasm animations planned at all this time?

well, to be fair, he did lie about the fact that he was solo dev for the game that gave him his current quality reputation.

he admitted that there was a 2nd dev on original one and then he stopped working on hgames completely.

this brings everything into question.

now i dont even believe he lost any data or had that hard drive failure; i think he either didnt have access to the UE build/project or the other guy nuked it, etc.

why the fuck is matto making fucking boxes and ladders and elevators. there's SO many free assets. but nope - he says actually animation is the fastest thing to do - but now let me make boxes and ladders and elevators for 4 months.

the best part is his progress reports on discord; they are complete arbitrary nonsense.

i really cant say just wait for this dev to deliver - i have no idea what he can actually deliver - his reputation is TWO people, NOT ONE person, so fuck this guy.
What do you know about the development cycle of the first Project? because yes, they started in 2 (or more, doesn't matter), than one guy didn't want to make Adult games, he bolted, Matt remained...now, imagine how early in the development cycle of an adult game could this have happened and answer your own question; no I'll help, because I'm not sure you can make the connection yourself: if a guy don't want to make a NSFW project than every NSFW aspect is Matt's, who would have access to the assets and all of that, if not the guy making it?

Now, to further make my point and to argument the fact that you, probably not a even developer yourself, have no idea of what you're talking about:

The development of the original project S7/PU started back in 2020, Patreon opened up in August 2020, that is not even 2 years up until now, and we all know that these things need time to start moving and gain traction; a project as complex as that needs budget, that he didn't have, so he decided to alt the development of his big dream project and start with something simple, to make a name for himself, this was July 2021, then a HDD failure happened (because shit happens, that's life, if everything in your life has always gone smoothly I envy you) in December of the same year.

Despite all of this, that would have made any other dev quit, he's still going at it, while people like you, knowing nothing, with half baked paranoia and incomplete informations, spewing venom and misinformation are trying your best to boycott a project you are not even supporting r/iamverysmart/.

This guy has, in the span of 2 years produced 3 playable PoCs, he is trying to find his footing, he is settled with this one, even has a planned release date to look forward too...now, is it perfect? no, will it be perfect? no, will improve with time? quite probably...

One last thing, I've looked at your review and expected nothing more than that, but let me tell you something:

"its supposed to be a porn game, not a box hauling game or a shooting game - its supposed to actually be a porn game."

I'm not one to grab pieces out of contest, so y'all go read it in full, but please, MoreNow, tell me who are you exactly to say to the Dev what his game is or is not supposed to be? This game wants to become a survival with heavy adult themes and horror as icing, this is not a walking galley; if you want that, I suggest you look somewhere else, you are in the wrong place.

Ohh okay, sorry I didn't bother looking to the other posts. Everything else seems solid, the box opening animations are nice even though I can't get out of my head that limp right arm. When she opens a box she does it with only her left and and the right one seems like a fake arm lol

lol yeah, that's because she uses the same animation when she has a weapon out or not :p the limp arm is supposed to be holding a weapon if she had one out...

free assets are often only truly free for non commercial products
if matto wants to sell this game then making his own assets is his best option

copyright and royalties can be a real bitch to deal with

Also, by handcrafting them he can have all the world item feel like part of the same cut...agreed, it's time consuming, but the quality and consistency of it it's undeniable.

The reason why I'm here with this thread was to have more feedback and have at least control of the screenshots and information displayed in the OP; since piracy is unavoidable I prefer to have at least control on the information displayed, obviously convincing Matt wasn't easy, so I had to start it with a compromise (hence the timer)...

While I TOTALLY agree with you that there are no reliable ways to advertise an adult game, expecially in the western market, I'm referring to the fact of having paywalled Patreon builds shared alongside the free samples; there are developers that are more open to streamline the build release on sites like this to keep people interested gaining support of those that would, others that are panicking and thinking that releasing stuff for free will prevent people from subscribing, "since they can get the stuff for free, why subscribe at all?" so release a sneak peak to build the interest and convince people to unlock more...both are viable ways to see things and are up to personal preference IMO, and you can guess where Matt stands xD

So yeah, piracy is bad, sharing is caring...but sometimes too much can hurt the development...points of view...

With the timeless version I can finally test some shit.

1. Swapping weapons while reloading will hold both weapons in the same hand until you try to swap weapons again, at least it's an easy fix, though the ammo will still be stuck in your hand until you reload.

2. Being hit while reloading will complete the reload anyways.

3. Fall damage seems a bit awkward. I fell in two different areas that are seemingly the same drop distance, taking no damage in one area and straight up dying in the other. Went from super hero landing the first drop to faceplanting and death on the second. There really needs to be an inbetween option between the super hero landing and faceplant animation that shows the drop is dangerous, but usually not lethal if you're healthy. Parkour roll would be great.

4: Having a weapon out while climbing a ladder will make the weapon float away.

5: I hope the parkour elements are expanded on, seems like it could add a lot to the game. The basic jump from running at a ledge is pretty good, but some rolling animations when landing from high jumps, and maybe ledge gripping would be cool too. Right now it's pretty difficult to tell if she can make jumps and potentially survive if she fails. The instant faceplant deaths over a certain height hurt my confidence in that. I tested some risky jumps though and it was pretty entertaining.

Similar to the fall damage issue though, I tried to leap across two similar looking gaps at what I thought was full speed and one time I made it and the other time she just did the "drop carefully off the ledge" animation instead of the sprinting leap. Maybe that should have its own jump button? I can't tell if the leap failed because I wasn't at 100% sprinting speed or if the game just decided the gap was like an inch too far away. The leap is too inconsistent basically. The weird thing is that sometimes the leap fails on a shorter gap as well even though I thought I was running at full speed, which really fucks with your head. I made about a 2 foot gap jump with ease and then failed about an 8 inch gap. Seems like some areas maybe don't activate the leap animation right now.

Most of these are probably known, but I just want to be thorough.
Sorry to bother you, I figured out 4 (only happens if you "slam" into the ladder running while pressing the interaction button, the animation to climbs fires before the holster animation, that gets done after you get off the ladder lol), but I really cannot reproduce 1, can you tell me the specific steps to reproduce it?
