To set the record straight for any newbies in the thread, Zorlun can include incest content in the Prometheus patch, if he wants to do so in the future. For example, he has talked in the past about possibly including sexual content between Myriam and her
However, he's definitely not going to go back and put incest in the game between Myriam and Mark again, so we definitely still need ouch2020's incest patch. That is, if we want to play the incest version, as many of us do.
OK, to add up, and complement your post, so the record is really straight and full for all the newbies...
1) The game from Zorlun had incest and bestiality, then Patreon said "no bestiality, no incest, or we cut your page (and income), and if we see anywhere in the Internet that you are involved even with a separate patch with that, still the same result", plus their concept of incest is broader than the legal one, even in the USA State where they are based.
Yes, there are games/creators on Patreon with incest and what can be considered bestiality (even if imaginary beasts), but it goes by luck and by "nobody reporting you to Patreon".
2) Zorlun needed the income, so, he had to abide by it. People complained (some really "screamed" at Zorlun). The Prometheus patch (indicated in the version number as "+p") appeared for bestiality, but no incest still , and remember the mantra is "Prometheus is not Zorlun" (or Patreon could still intervene, and Zorlun clarified their T&C mean they can have an employee create an account here, and if they decide Zorlun is Prometheus, use that information, they don't really need to justify themselves to cut a creator account). So, I released the incest patch I had started to make for myself, and kept going since.
3) Zorlun has also a Subscribestar page, so the best would be you use that if you want to support the game, but Zorlun still needs also the income from Patreon.
4) In theory, Zorlun could always have kept the bestiality and incest in officially, and put them back, but it would mean risking the ban from Patreon, so, he floated the idea of maybe doing it at the end of the game, when he will anyway not risk anything - but probably only if for the next game he plans to leave Patreon.
5) In theory, the Prometheus patch, or any other mod, could include the incest patch I made for the past, and continue it in future, the code is there to use, I did not bother with any kind of obfuscation on purpose.
But before someone ask "why nobody makes a super mod with Prometheus stuff+incest+walkthrough+savename+...+making a nice coffee"
:-D or try to force someone to do it, that would mean a lot of work every time there is an update.
The way things are, each one, Zorlun, Prometheus (remember the mantra), myself,
Bibifoc ,
JokerLeader ,
Jellyluve (hope I did not forget anybody), can each make something with a more manageable workload (remember for some of us, is done fully for free in our free time).
Even for those using the different patches/mods, there is more flexibility this way: if one doesn't like bestiality, no need for +p; if one doesn't care about incest, no need for my patch; if one doesn't need a walkthrough, no need for the WT mod.
People wanting both the incest patch and the WT have a bit of a pickle, because the full versions of both are incompatible - but even for that, Jellyluve makes the work to take part of the incest patch and the WT mod, and make a partial merge.
