for me, Third Crisis is utter shit. I wish that game would get abandoned and not Project Sage.

theres a couple of female protagonist that have that nice quality feeling, such as Angelica Origins, Jessica O'Neil, Paola, Fashion Business, A Wife and Mother. but none is comparable to Project Sage.

I check the 0.20 development status about once a week.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that "Night events:" status updated from "(1 is done)" to "(2 is done, 1 is progressing)" sometime this week.

Unfortunately, is the exact same status from mars View attachment 668456
Damn.
Well, props to you for remembering to check that post from March 8th.
I guess the game status will go to abandoned on June 8th, unless we get an update from Paperwork.

Personally, I'll keep supporting on Patreon. I don't know whether Paperwork has problems with depression &/or anxiety, but I know that I do. I know that the past few lock-down months haven't been very different from my normal routine (being disabled, I rarely make it out of the house anyway. I went to the grocery story every 2 weeks before the pandemic, and do the same now. Only now I get to wear a mask when I go outside!), but the general stress of living through this craziness has been significant. I only started feeling like I'm waking up to "the new normal" very recently. When Paperwork comes back, I want them to know that I'm still here and still supporting - that I still love their work and want to see more of it.
Also, I'm pretty sure the game was around for months (at least a year) before I found it and started supporting it financially, so even if my money doesn't support new content, I'm supporting the content creator for the time before I "discovered" this game existed.

BTW. For those wondering, I've got a lot of catching up on various writing projects (including at least one game that I write for) before I can make time to update the Guide and Clever Amy. I'll get to updating the guide and walkthru as soon as I can.

Fashion Business is utter shit. It's such a chore to "play" it feels like work.

I don't agree Kalenz123, at least about the "utter shit". if you extract the cg u will notice that amount of work the dev has done.
when I wrote the games that I feel are "close" but not "near" Project Sage, I decided to not explain the bad, since theres always something bad. Fashion Business is the sandbox mode, and that ruined my experience, I hate all the clicking. for A Wife and Mother, that could be very close to Project Sage, fails because of the amount of renders to create such detailed game that overlap the reason we play it, to have exciting scenes, not to watch a boring telenovela. and a dev that want to do it himself instead of making a team.
but, I can't say Fashion Business is utter shit, apart from the clicking, theres a quality on that game. If the dev decides to make a new game that is a standard VN, it will be a top game.

Third Crisis, for me utter shit, the CG is well done of course, top notch, but the story and characters are so bad its unplayable.
I can oversee ui, gamestyle, gameengine and even render quality but not story and characters. that for me is the most important aspect.
Project Sage has a HS render quality and of course not as good as a daz render quality. but the story/character is what makes this one good, and of course lots of choices.

For me it felt like the dev of Fashion B wanted to torture the player and make the game as annoying as possible. Not to mention the story wasn't all that good in the first place. To even compare it to PS is heresy :p

Glamour (kate path) is probably the closest, renders are crisp, characters are at least somewhat intriguing, though shallowly defined, sandbox and ~2004 EA console port level shitty performance, it feels like author put thread.sleep(1500) on every. single. fucking. button. IN THE FUCKING UI THREAD!

Sage was/is perfect in that it has a myriad of interesting plots and people and a story you can 'explore' tracks in. I've played RPG's since ~1998(Fallout 1), and it's all about how you as a player, define the character and we had that with Amy. Search this thread for (my Amy) or renames or whatever, and you see the exact same discussions I remember from early rpg days. (how did you get that scene/weapon/outfit, oh you managed to persuade x/y/z etc. etc.)

I was a nice nostalgia ride, BTW anyone taking bets, on which we'll see first ProjectSage part II, Ayla's story or that russian Fallout game (<3 russians and fallout, Atom rpg is the shit!) - I recently tried akaburs latest offering, and it was a return to princess trainer - man that guy is slow but at least he keeps trucking :p

Waouh, damn, I feel less old here, I am also coming from the old school RPG line here, Fallouts, BGs, Planescape, Arcanum... and yay, what I like is some choices and freedom to pursue them, with good characters and story. Can not say that Project Sage is on part with my all time favorite Planescape, but you have dialogue choices in it and they do actually influence the main character and how she see things and how she evolve, in the middle of enough plot branching to keep everyone busy and happy, and that is quite rare in the porn novel game industry.

Not so big on the renders, but they are in the end of good quality, go look at where it started with the first version of the game and you can see that a lot of work was done.

So yep, go Project Sage! Hope the author is alright or will be and finish this game, because it is one of the best one out there, I really want to see it made. And being one guy and artist that can not stand to share his work with others because I hate compromising my vision, I can understand why an author prefer to work alone.

I see, though I expect we also have somewhat different tastes, I love Planescape but for its story not its 'game'. I love Fallout 1 for its game, consequences of spilling the beans on your vault etc. vs. dying and respawning - planescapes 'death' puzzles were great, but the real meat was the 'static' world. Yeah I appreciate the Irony of calling the living city, static :D

Also Ravel is best girl, and thanks god I didn't reuse my Codex login ; )

Just tried the game. Sorry if this has been as been asked before, but it seems like you cut out most of the sex content you had on the abandoned version 0.17a... 90% of the game is exhibitionism, of which 50% is taking baths and clicking on the same options over and over again.

You went straight for a gangbang with the cops in the first minutes of the abandoned version and, after playing through 3 times the content in this version, i've seen just a couple of very vanilla sex scenes. Can i ask what was the reasoning behind that decision? Feels like one hell of a downgrade...

EDIT: Could i get a reply instead of a facepalm? I'm genuinely curious to understand why the developer took this turn with the game...

Because the abandoned first version was a fuck fest and not as popular as the current one is.
Paperwork wanted to focus more on a realistic game with a story instead of having sex scene after sex scene after sex scene.
And honestly it was the best decision. I played both and while some scenes in the first version of the game were definitely very good and I would love to see them in this game at some point, it was just a mess and very unrealistic that a virgin girl, fresh in town, would start being a giant anal whore within a few days.

Thanks for clearing that up. I understand i arrived late at this party, so my question probably sounded too uninformed to merit an answer, judging from its reactions....

That sounds like a good reason to rehash a game, if realism was a concern (though i do wish Paperwork hadn't gone so far in the other direction)... If you look at Chloe18, for example, the starting point is pretty much the same and that didn't prevent the game from delivering copiously on the fan-service, while remaining perfectly grounded. Doesn't personally bother me to be in charge of how slutty or prude my MC acts, quite the opposite. Putting railings on the MC's sexual openness doesn't necessarily make it more realistic, that's just the developer's prerogative on character development - I'd rather have a little more player control over that, if you ask me.

But i guess the time to discuss that kind of thing, if there ever was one, is long past, this game was already born out of the ashes of another, doubt my feedback will have any impact on bringing it back to it's deliberately-former glory.

Hopefully there's still a lot of content planned and we might be rewarded with those great scenes further along the road. Another brick on the great Wailing Wall of Watched Threads for me. I'll be praying for this one.
