Yes, sending them on one of those missions seems like it would release them.
I kinda tried for fun sending them into a battle, but i couldn't when i place them in a band it says "it cannot be placed" and if i put it in the middle bar where you select the bands i cant really put slaves there

Didn't expect that if your units have 3 stats they take more space in the wall, also for some reason towers don't work at all

That kinda sucks too because anything can kill them fast like archers, the only thing that can save them are the nuns, but only post-battle

Had like a 3 stat oni, just for her to be destroyed by 5 archers since they have pushback
you can abuse the squad bug which it could hold infinite amount of unit, to reproduce :

- drag a unit directly to the stockades
- drag a unit between units listed in the squad that are assigned to a stockade

place 3 or more shortstack it would instantly delete 5-8 enemies in a medium AoE

There are two monster dens - one with goblins, and one with orcs. Both are good for more than just getting new species - you can also get new genes. Or you can use them to improve your reputation by fighting monsters.

Is there any way I can update my save to the new version of the game, or will I have to go through everything?
Saves won't be effective, given how the trait system changed, and how they've changed the upper rooms. It takes like 10 minutes anyway to get the basics. The only 'hard' bit is getting nuns.

Rune, if the plan hasn't changed, is actually our . . . sugar mama? She might be someone needing to be 'toppled' in an ending, so you might not be far off.

Basically, no idea why those Goblins only have Strength as well.

Village A is also a trap (20 pop, Low armament), no traits.

Oh, for anyone curious:
Village B (Starts with 30 pop, low Aramament) has Knockback Resistance.
Village D (The village starts with 60 pop and a High Armament level, can send two parties) has their only trait listed as Cost Down.
Village G (Starts with 45 and Mid) has Sex Bribe, the infamy reducer, as their only trait.
i thought Sisters came out of a monmus was a feature, i mean it's the only way you level your sisters tho. sigh.. they're my favourite
You can just modify the mix files, you know. Just open the Woman_Player1mix.mix file in notepad, it contains the monmusu as well.

Yeah, I was specifically talking about the closest one with the goblins. I'm assuming sending a raiding party near the start of the game to the orc den would just end badly.

And I guess I've just had bad luck with the genetics rolls because I've gotten nothing interesting back. Only Strength, which is already available elsewhere.

Genes do depend on where you're getting them, but I have not experimented much yet. But the post above yours seems to have datamined what sorts of genes you can expect to get.

Thanks for the info. After playing some more, I think I'll shelve this one until it's further along and more fleshed out. It lacks almost all of the personality MBM has so far.

Yeah, no worries. I'm probably the most vocal of the people who look at the code for this game, though a lot of the easy stuff is in just renamed .txt extensions.


I'd hold off until the end of the year at the earliest for a more complete game. They seem to be modifying the code base to make things much more generic to optimize additions. I'd say a good 50% of the classes have been changed or otherwise modified. They've even just taken to generically naming the traits in code and letting the Localization files handle Trait naming. Good ol' Trait001 is Strength.

Bummer, I've been watching this game for over a year now hoping by now this would be a mostly complete game . I'll just keep an eye on this one since MBM is such a master piece.

Feels like they're still in the mess around with backend mechanics and see what feels good or works stage and not at all at the add h-content stage yet.
I guess that's how it goes when you scrap the original idea and have to start over, however it's moving in a good direction. Just needs more time in the oven

Look, asking nicely is better than trying to order someone around. The way to dupe player character units has not changed between versions.

But no one here owes anyone anything. Being belligerent because I was busy enough that all I could do was a short response then is not going to make you look anything but a toddler now.

This is not a very nice way to say it. Perhaps you do not read/write English with any proficiency, in which I'll apologize for taking it the wrong way. But I'd also expect saying that to someone who does is more offensive.

This following bit is me being nice. I'm not going to hunt for the exact posts, so get a quick overview.

It was a small topic of discussion where we changed variables so a Player unit could be bred by manipulating the .mix files and .character files. You need to change the player unit to something not named Player1 as an ID (with the creation of a new Player1 style file, because that ID is associated with the Player1 Character unit and gets buggy. And you needed to change them to a monster type.

Currently 30% of the results in the Player_woman mix files is missing. Fill that 30% in. Copy and name things appropriately. It'll likely work if you haven't bungled the code somewhere.

Congrats, you've been told.
