That's not really a sandbox either, Devs should rename that to "Gallery Viewer" instead.

The actual sandbox they had in older versions was so much better and had a lot of potential for UGC.
I personally will wait until they implement that back into the game.


I thought it did tell you about what the binds do in the hud or something iirc.
Because I knew how to record it without watching any video.

From what i understood they remade everything 2 updates ago, so the tutorial link on here is also useless as it links to the old system, or maybe i was just madge at bad game design and missed it, idk, game is deleted again, not worth the hassle sadly, soooo much lost potential.

But maybe in 10 years it will be worth to play, idk

The performance of this "game" is absolutely horrendous. The fact this is lagging on my 4090 is just further confirmation of how bad the optimization (or lack thereof) is.

I mean yeah at this stage in development there's probably very little culling and so on.
But at the same time, it might not be your 4090 that's having a ahrd time delivering those frames.

Yeah, I think those are from older versions of the game and they no longer exist.
"content" is a story mode(or whatever it is called) that is barely there and a "sandbox" which acts as a sex animation viewer.

My RTX 3060 12GB got delivered today, finally upgrading from my GTX 1660 6GB.

Lets see how much performance I get this time, hopefully it is more playable now.

I've heard Lumen stuff is ray-tracing which hits the performance hard, so the game definitely needs an option to disable that if it isn't already present in the settings.

I still think it's mainly a culling issue. When you're walking along with Melody there's a couple of areas with completely ridiculous frame drops, that has to be because it's rendering a ton of crap that's not on screen.

If that's also the case, then that's a huge optimization issue, things should not work like that.
Imagine if Minecraft tried to also render every single block in render distance that's not on screen. PC would explode. :KEK:

But lumen does seem to be the main culprit for my GTX GPU as I've always faced performance issues with 3D UE5 games.
And it makes sense because it was not a ray-tracing card.

I haven't really played it since they replaced the Sandbox mode with Gallery viewer.
Just roamed around and checked out the gallery mode, so I will test is with fresh start this time, with settings, cache etc. cleared to ensure some old build stuff isn't causing some weird issue.

No hopefully the finished product won't. That's what optimization is.
You do still see it on release in pretty big non-H productions though.

There's still a long way for release.

I think the early access should still have necessary optimizations, so player experience isn't ruined.

Doesn't have to be perfect from the start, just playable enough.

This changes a lot depending on what dev you ask. I tend to agree with you that it's never too early to consider optimization, but I have had explanations from devs of 3D games before about why it's a waste of time if you start too early.

It's fucking insane to me that people figured out how to do almost 100% perfect culling in a fully editable game world with nearly no restrictions IN FUCKING JAVA back in like 2012 but modern game devs struggle to do culling in static maps in fucking UE4. Just fucking insane.

I dont know if its only me , but the game doesnt respond to neither my keyboard nor mouse, has anyone experienced this?
