Regarding Download Links! (Patreon)

Content

Hey guys!
Just wanted to make a quick post to let you know to use the download links for the game on the Patreon website itself, and not the links contained in the emails that go out when a post is made. The links in the email can go stale very quickly because they must be swapped out often due to pirate sites scraping and hijacking them.
The download links on the Patreon website itself should always work. If not, please comment and let me know :D.

This game made me realize that side scrolling fighters just aren't for me. Now I don't even care how much he delays. Amazing animations though.

lmfao, if only eromancer put in the same effort in actually developing the game.

Does anyone remember, when the first playable Version of Pure Onyx was released? Feels like legit ages ago.
Late 2018 to early 2019 for the first playable stuff...first H-stuff was implemented somewhat april-may of 2019. 2019 was also the last year of any substantial updates to the game structure and content. 2020 was mostly reinventing the wheel, bugfixing and doing one animation every few months.
Basically, since 2020, we are still at the "proof of concept" level of demos...which is something you have finished in something like 1 to 10 months but here it's just stuck at that phase...

Unsurprisingly, someone reported the perm Mediafire links and the accounts have been terminated. Can only be quick to download from next email leakers.
this just proves this project is a cashcow. other devs and artist here let the threads be, because people who would download here wouldn't buy in the first place, or at the very least checking in if it is worth the price.. Gifdoozer also said something similar to this type of thing.. Kind of ironic when the artist that made some of the animations for this game said something like that

Gifdoozer always struck me as someone on the team with his head not up his own ass. Great artist on a team headed by a... headass.

Nothing ironic about it. It's as you said, those who wouldn't pay for it won't pay for it even after playing it. However there's also a non-zero number of people who get it in their hands, see that they like it, and then do start paying for it.
Always felt scummy to me to not offer an, even if outdated (like Future Fragments does), demo of your game to give people a taste. An 8$ minimum requirement to even get an idea of the gameplay just makes me want to not touch the project at all.

oh i meant similar as in they expressed that they aren't bothered by people pirating his animations. as it also helps people gauge if it's worth the money or not. or something like that

Speaking from experience, of the games I've bought almost all were ones I enjoyed the demo/previews of and wanted more. If there were any one thing I could say directly to most h-devs, it would be "stop being so fucking scared to preview content". Perfect example is a japanese h-dev named "Turunoiori": they shit out shovelware all the time, and their games don't get uploaded anywhere because the art is ass and they have maybe 50 followers. Despite that, they consistently hit on content I enjoy that's rare elsewhere, so I think "ok, I'll buy a game or two"...but then I decide not to because they charge 5 bucks per game with maybe 30 CG (which is really just 5 scenarios with slight variations) and don't bother to give even a single preview image. I have literally no idea what or how much I'm buying, and as intuitive as I'm sure they think it is not to give previews (they'll just jack off to the previews, MUH PROFITS), it has kept me from ever thinking about buying their shit again.

Less favorably, I think the artists who do it are just aware that what they're doing isn't worth the money, so instead of improving the quality of the purchase they just obfuscate it and make you think you're buying more than you are. Either way, as much as people hate marketing, many h-game devs could clearly benefit from even a tiny bit of education about how being paranoid and spiteful about previewing/demoing your game doesn't exactly help you sell it.

this "game" is dead and you guys still here for what?
If I had a dollar for every time you've popped in to ask this, i'd have enough to pledge on Patreon and get the latest build for everybody.
Which, coincidentally, is why we're here.

Streets of Rage meets big ol' bouncing titties, whats not to love?
Rhetorical question; the dev. The dev isn't to love.

worst mistake is giving him money for garbage updates for a game that will never come out for years
