To be fair, that's due to Patreon's """Trust & Safety""" department which won't allow any sort of non-consentual sexual action on the platform. I wish people would just drop that shitty platform and move to something else.
Huh, so that's why there's been so few of the games I like coming out recently.

"We will fully migrate Pure Onyx off of Patreon, return cut animations, and begin H scene content for all monsters. Our Patreon will be converted to a new rule 34 series featuring H scene animations of popular video game and hentai characters." - - Long thought, not even a year.

P.S.- - Fun.:whistle::coffee:

Ya patreon sucks for sure. is the way to go but the sad fact of the matter is creator can make way more money on patron. I also support on SS over patreon if it's an option and there are creators like this one that have pages for both putting up two versions of the game. The real one on SS, and a gimped one on patreon.

Hopfully supporters will get the word out and swap over to SS so the creator can drop patreon all together. No creator should have to censor their work.

Except that they already made a campaign, which has no (or at least less) restrictions on adult content. They don't want to leave patreon since there are guaranteed to be some people who are still subscribed on patreon who either forgot about it or don't pay enough attention to cancel it. If they switch over to subscribestar only they'd be able to keep current and do more rape / bestiality/ whatever scenes. But as long as they're keeping up their patreon account they're locked to patreon rules, which makes the addition of the subscribestar account pointless.
Patreon monitors what you do outside of Patreon as well. If Eromancer has a subscribestar with the full game and a Patreon with the neutered one, they will issue another warning and close that account if you don't comply. Their reasoning behind this is that you're still using the money that you make through Patreon to deliver content that is against the ministry of truth's principles.

You can read about what Patreon did with the porn artist Slugbox if you're so inclined. The tl;dr ist that Patreon basically seized full control of everything and anything that is related to the artist Slugbox and if he wouldn't comply this would be the end of it. No uploading of anything that isn't to Patreon's taste anywhere else included. If it can be traced back to you in any shape, way or form you'll get the axe. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Patreon stuff is present here as well because some devs do post on this site and who knows, you might catch one or two for wrongthink.

This is, of course, probably not really relevant to eromancer since he's just interested in making the most money for the least possible amount of effort but still, the situation is pretty dire and people should switch to other platforms already.

Patreon used to be the platform that supported everyone. It grew rich over games like this. But in the pursuit of more money, it decided to basically attack the people that gave it life. Pretty much people just keep using Patreon because of sentimentality at this point.

I actually started and graduated from university before these guys could finish something. I regret backing them in the past lmao.
Congratulations on your graduation buddy! The developer team can definitely learn a few things from you... Except, they seem to manage their finances quite well, maybe we can learn a lesson here instead.

Is their artist/animator on strike or something? There's no way that the stuff in the changelog can't be done in parallel with new animations. Especially when they're raking in $16,981 per month.

No, this is pretty much what their progress always is. Hell, this is actually an improvement over previous years. They used to have only like 4 total updates for the game over something like 18 months. I know I mentioned it in my review, but am being lazy and not checking the dspecifics.

So does organized crime. Doesn't make it much of a role model, that.
Not very bright, are you? The statement seems to have gone over your head, let me clarify it for you though. The "lesson" that I stated which is to be learned here is that we shall not finance unreliable devs... The role model idea is something you came up with, misinterpretation at best. Look at the statistical data on this project, it is mindbogglingly unreliable!

well it's probably ease of access too since it supports paypal. and i THINK it's the main reason why they are being more conservative bc paypal is doing a christian move idk.

I don't know if Patreon list development time somewhere, but it could do with with a months and years figure by the membership levels title or by the quantity of subscribers and monthly income. So it highlights how long the production cycle has dragged on to any new potential subscribers. But we know that's not in the interest of business.

I only found out about the game this year, and its hardly progressed since January. And it shocking that its been going on for years, and even taken a step backwards with the certain animations being removed.

There are a couple of ways you can track patreon development / income over time. You can see on patreon when they've posted / created their account. That gives an indication, but they can delete posts and if they've done multiple projects then the account creation date doesn't help as much. Then there's a site that tracks patreon info over time, cost and subscribers in particular. It's separate from patreon, and since creators can hide some info on patreon it isn't always 100% accurate. Here's 's page there.

So the info is out there, but not compiled (and would be pretty hard to do since that requires looking at each project and manually marking when projects start and end and such.)
