if you don't have money the game won't let you proceed. Remember that the money is necessary for the treatment of the protagonist's daughter. You can cheat and add money or win the races, whichever is easier for you.

Probably cheat and add money. I did win the race with the Chevy Camaro-like opponent, but some of my older files don't work, so I can't rollback to an earlier save if necessary.

I had no problems with the money, but the game shouldn't let you get into a position where it's impossible for you to proceed due to lack of funds and it just soft locks you. Come up with a way using writing to get around that scenario, or don't let the player get into that scenario to begin with.

That was a bug and it’s fixed on the newest version. Though it’s required to replay Episode 3.

I did win the races, yet I was conveniently in debt (-$10k worth). Either way, the problem is fixed.

Issue was that you had to pay to start Lily’s treatment regardless if you won the mountain race or not. If you lost that race Allie would sell the jewelry and cover that cost.

This game truly has very beautiful animations and images. Moreover, the characters have real personalities, and you really want to discover them. Congratulations, great game!

Hope we can put this absurd 'debate' behind us before the mods join in on the fun again, or don't, and I'll gladly let you and your lil friends talk to each other and keep accusing me of shit I never said and done, not as badly as you make it sound at least.
Shift gears from the 1st to the 5th like you'd drive a real car, or pay attention to the MC when he says which gear he should switch to, keep the engine under 8k RPMs, somewhere in the 7-7.7 range is the safest option, and you should win every time.
I don't know if this is really how it's actually done, but it worked for me. Try and see if it works for you too, and don't forget to save and load in case you make a mistake. You'll know if you made one based on the MC's reactions and comments... or if you lose the race lol.

To avoid any other issues, bugs, crashes, or anything story-related like missing scenes or progress with the LIs/side characters, consider doing a fresh playthrough and use Scrappy's Mod to make the best choices.
Keep the CTRL or TAB button pressed till you reach the part where you were stuck or the new Ep starts, and continue from there.
If you using Windows, the mod will work on any PC. Don't know about Linux or Mac, cuz I don't use those, but it should work on them too.

as an example on how you can win it. Race starts at 14:20, at 14:10, 14:16 and 14:24 you can see Patricia's titties for uhh... extra motivation. Do the same thing the guy there did, and if the MC says something during the race, pay attention to what he said, do just that, and you'll win.
