I like the idea of Maggie and agree it's a negative that she's disconnected from the main plot. It seems like that will be addressed given the connections her family has to the main plot.I think the thing that sets Maggie back for me is that she's not involved in the story at all - though at the same time, I feel that sometimes you do need that. At the moment, it just feels a bit like she's an afterthought though, with a completely unrelated story that therefore doesn't do anything to drive the main story forwards. I guess maybe if/when the mystery in her past and the thing with her mother starts to tie in with the industry, or the people in the racing scene, or of course, the situation with Lily, it will start to feel a bit more together.
The massage table scene is a negative for me. I understand the purpose and as a sex scene it's fine, it just feels out of place to me and not executed as well as it could have been. She makes up for it with the blowjob scene later but at that point, lewdly she's at neutral compared to someone like Jasmine.
At least she's not Veronica.
