I'm sure that's likely what happened, and I don't disagree. Perhaps, my point was more that one side takes more responsibility for the failings depending on the path you take. That skews things a lot:
  • MC takes the fault, blame, and even admits to it on the reconciliatory route.
  • Allie takes the blame and doesn't deny it on the hate route.
As I never took the hate route, I had a very one-sided perspective based on what the MC said and admitted to. Whereas others that took only the Hate route, would have the opposite because of what was said there. And neither really reconciles fully. Sure they were both at fault, but each takes the blame very differently. Just makes it a bit more confusing to discuss as now you have to disclaim a perspective based on what route was taken.

I think that was part of what led to some of the early heated exchanges because we were looking at it from very different story angles.
You should play the hate route up until the dinner, you don't need to go beyond. They shout a lot of things at each other while tearing each others clothes. :sneaky:

I think both routes ascribe blame to both, but MC does shoulder most of the blame as he took the extra steps to sleep with another woman.

I'm playing the "good" route at the moment and expecting that playing the "hate" route to get up to date will just take a minute of skipping, as I'm imagining there will be no difference in the content (will report back if there is though).

For the "fault" differences between the two paths, I don't think there's any different in the history of it, it's only in the conversation and who is willing or unwilling to shoulder the blame. Or alternatively, who is willing or unwilling to stop blaming the other out of spite. At the end of the day, both are to blame for the relationship falling apart, but only one is to blame for the cheating.

Yeah I've told myself that a few times. My problem is I'm too nice of a person and have a really hard time being mean/evil, even to made up 1s and 0s. :ROFLMAO: I've been in the military and know violence, hate, and anger, but I still have a hard time doing it to another "person", real or made up. I know I'm probably crazy but I like to think I'm ok with it.:cautious:

Maybe I'll just suck it up and try it.

The cuckquean route for Veronica. I'm just starting this game.
I haven't played that path yet, but previous posts said on your Veronica love route you need to cheat on her with Vanessa (the waitress at the conference hotel). I believe you can also do the Jasmine/Natalya sauna scene instead, but I guess that depends on how you're managing your saves. If you're just starting up, it might take you a while to get to that point, but it's in the latest update (3.2).

I've been hearing talk about her going to Canada. I assume if she goes there, that route is done?

If she puts you on a break she goes to visit family in Canada yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back, unless she resigns her position at the University. From my reading, she's just going there to 'refocus' herself after breaking up with you.

Yeah, if you want to be on her route the options to avoid her going to Canada should be pretty obvious though. She'll only do that if you ignore her/tell her you don't see a future together, etc.

Meanwhile, at the conference...

You know, I reckon he could probably get away with that one

I think V going to Canada gives the dev flexibility in regards to her reappearance or not later. If V isn't story popular at all, she could just be written off on routes where you fully break up. If she's popular, you can have her re-introduced to the story later, and she'll either be chill with the MC, ignore him, or double down on her efforts to make something serious happen between the two. I honestly don't know how she could be plot relevant to the project as an English professor but it's not my story to tell.

I did notice there seems to be a difference between breaking up with her by choosing to take Jasmine to the ball over her as opposed to the conversation post hike. I don't know if that matters long term or not yet.

Yikes. Now I'm really worried Allison's path is going to be about the MC and Allison reigniting their original passion rather than learning to communicate and starting a new relationship from scratch. The latter *might* actually work, the former would be every bit as doomed as it was last time. :(
I mean apparently they were a dream couple until ~5-7 years into the marriage. These are a lot of good memories, expieriences, storys, passion shared. They shared 1/3 of their life together after all and and it was probably the most defining part of their lifes so far.

Imo its fine to reignite the original passion if they add their newfound experiences/perspectives to it. Jake kinda changed/reverted back into a improved version of the guy she did fall in love with.

And lets be honest, they did got married waaaaaaaaaay too young (at least for Jake), the break giving him opportunitys to experience single life and freedom.

But if he gets that taste (single, sex, different women, freedom) and realises that he would prefer to have his family back, i would say that a huge learning experience and shift of perspective. No more fear of missing out.

The renders of the dialogue with Nat are not about sex by the way, Natalya tries to explain Jake that Allison doesnt dislike him at all which he struggles to believe.

Of course the marriage falling apart is probably on both of them, thats how its usually is.

Yet it seemed like allie went for the confrontation to adress their problems while Jake ducked away, closed his eyes and just prayed for divine intervention. And i dont know, maybe im oldschool but hes the man, take care of your fucking relationship or end it when your wife seems unable to divorce you/break up. So i would at least give it a 60/40 towards allie but it doesnt really matter.

Its okay to not work anymore after a time in a relationship but even than its just not okay to cheat before ending it.

Yeah the hatefuck is awesome, i just dont like the aftermath at all. I will never understand people claiming allie is prude when shes obviously a wildcat with her man lol. The wedding night extra scene was hot too

By the way as im always trashtalking Veronica, im playing a cheating on Veronica route atm for completion and i have to admit that her cuckquean path is kinda funny and hot!

It's your fault I now have a V cuckqueen (I hope she does turn into that, but I have doubts it will) save.

You just need to cheat on the conference.

but i may have taken every single opportunity to cheat in this playthrough.

I even took allie to the ball to rile up V even more (Jasmine is my teacher  )

I just got to the ball and tried telling her I thought I could see a future with her, but I took Nat, then I told her I slept with her there. If you tell her that on the cliff, she leaves immediately after.

I guess you need to take her to the ball.

You don't have to take her to the ball, just don't cheat on her with Nat or Kris.

I think the Dev dropped the ball with Maggie she was my favorite till her first scene. I'm not into femdom at all. To me Maggie is like eatting my favorite food and half way through eatting it i find a bug in it, no matter what the rest of it tastes like you don't want to finish it because you keep thinking about that bug you found. Dev should go back and either remove it or make it avoidable.
I disagree because the dev gave a legit character reason as to why did the small femdom scene ( I dont consider it femdom). Before it felt random and forced on Maggie's end just to include a lewd scene. Now I like it because of what it means for her character as it was a bit of character deveolopment.
