it depend on what you want to place when you activate the lab edit mode you will see a list of what you bought hit the down or up arrow buttons(I think) to pick the item. If it is the thing that make stuff then it need to be put out of the lab(the area out by the elevator but not the sex room) if it is the cooler you need a shelf like the wall shelf(need to move it around on it until you can place it)

This game seriously needs atleast a bit of help to fix the problems. I know fek doesnt do help and all alone, but atleast have someone weed out bug fixes every release would be nice
Through the course of seeing this game being developed, A lot more has been added. I know the "preparing game files" is a new thing, and it took me about 10 minutes to load all the files on my Hard Drive(7,000 RPM), if this were to be on any Solid State Drive it should load a lot faster. There are some textures missing here and there, but it doesn't bother me much. I think that Fek has made a ton of progress from the past year.
The only thing that is buggy for v.0.2.8 is just the random micro stutters that can potentially crash the game. thought it was my Ram module timings(DDR4), but it was just the game being a little bit too buggy.

so im trying to preview a character but it just says "preparing game files 0%" and never changes

If you've ever upgraded from a really old version it is a good idea to start completely clean, not just deleting the save file, but everything that is generated. Check out my old reply about archiving and deleting the generated game data and save folder.

this is my firt time downloading the game and have no previous versions should i still do the same thing?

It's not a bad idea. Sometimes the first run even bugs out the generation of the game data. By wiping that folder you force the game to attempt to regenerate everything. On one of the older versions I had to wipe the already clean game folder a couple times before I could even get to character creation. There is a lot of work in this game, but it is FAR from a finished product or even a BETA product.

The human-on-furry community is just a small subset of the much larger furry-on-furry community. While I also wish that this game had good human models, I understand the lack of emphasis on adding them.
