Correct. And its a good argument. Regardless of the Dev being a scammer or not, you're stealing something and complaining that you can't steal it sooner.
Yes… And I can do that because this is a piracy platform. Where you’re also doing that. Correct message, wrong messenger.

If this is the dev that’s saying this I would have no problems. Hearing this lecture from other pirates is hilarious and hypocritical.

it would be hypocritical to say "piracy is wrong" and then go pirate stuff, what he is saying is that we are all pirates, on a piracy forum. Some of us are happy to be able to pirate, and some of us complain when the person who is making the stuff we are pirating is slow. you are welcomed to complain and criticize, but people are gonna push back.

Devs do not care about what type of pirates we are. We are all one is the point.

Also complaints and criticism especially one valid as missed deadlines is valuable.

New players reading this knows what they are coming into and temper their expectations. Paying customers also would be aware of what they are potentially supporting and can save their money.

"...the chapter will be approximately 19-20 scenes long..."

For comparison, how many scenes have the prior updates been?

I believe that complaints and criticisms are valuable - if they are legitimate and balanced with what a dev does that is good.

How often do we get the same level of praise for this dev on this thread when he gives us a great release?

Compare that to how often we get complaining when some don't get what they want, when they want, and in the quality they want?

If that comparison shows a preponderance of the negative, then why would a dev put significant weight on the 'feedback' from those who predominantly complain?

One thing I have not heard much about on this thread is the improved communication in the last 6 months.

This was a regular part of the feedback of supporters for the last year; Sir Damned listened and has gotten better, and supporters do provide that information here on F95.

It's hardly perfect, but there is marked improvement, so he does listen and respond to his supporters.

It was more than 1 year between updates to get to the release of Radiant rev 0.4 - that was too long.

This update will hit tonight as an Alpha release (based on the Discord comment from Sir Damned).

Is it being released later than original estimate made more than 5 months ago - yes, and by 3 whole days... Wow - what a massive fail of the dev for those waiting here for something they are owed for free.

I checked and you know - F95 - literally stopped doing updates for the last 3 days so that no one had anything they could download from other devs... ;)

Oh wait - that was a bit of an exaggeration...

There were 100+ new releases/updates between 2/28/23 - 3/3/23, just here on F95.

If that is not enough for those waiting, what about the thousands of other VNs just waiting for that free download...

If the biggest issue someone has is this release is late by 3 days when there is So much available to check out on F95, then I think that's a Major 1st world problem.

So - Cheers to the next release of Radiant and time with the triplets!

Until this release lands - I'm off to enjoy the work of other very talented creators.

That's not true though. If you want to discover new porn games and discuss then, f95 is really the best place to do it. So whether you're a paying customer or not, you're probably going to be on f95.

In fact, I supported Radiant for the first 9 months. I think that $90 has earned me the right to complain that I still haven't got my money's worth even after 3 years.

Imagine if I actually knew what I was doing :D You'd be surprised how easy it was. I think it took like 5 minutes. I just fiddled with the levels and the contrast and on the last one I also played with the saturation (lowered it), since most 3d models look like roast chicken (too orange) and it gets even worse when the render is dark. I won't blame the artists too much though, lighting is a bitch to get right in Daz Studio and people with no artistic/photography experience (myself included) think that dark scenes involve no light at all which is not true, so don't know much about rendering them. If I had more skills I would have probably used the lasso tool to edit the eyes in Photoshop to lighten only the whites of their eyes and the hair or skin instead of the whole picture, but I just know some very basic stuff. I wish I had the time to learn how to do more sophisticated stuff like blending and using masks.

Thanks for supporting them in the past.

I've had my own frustrations and have come close to stopping my support, especially when we went to about one year for the last release.

For me, the beginning of this story was so well done that I'm still here supporting the devs and hoping that they can get a consistent schedule established (if they can get 2 great releases in 2023 and then 3 in 2024, that would be awesome).

That consistency, coupled with continued quality storytelling, will win back old fans and help resource them for the future.

There are some top tier creators (I list several of my favorites next to my Chasing Sunsets signature block) who are more than just good story tellers.

They also bring high quality renders, animations, immersive sounds and great music to their VNs.

We've lost some good VNs with a lot of potential - sometimes it is burnout but other times it is the inability to keep up with the costs of VN creation as a hobby, like the inability to replace a dead Ti 2080 card so they can continue to render their VN at any kind of speed and quality.

The hardware and software/music licensing can get expensive so that consistency coupled with delivering a high quality VN will lead to more $ support which resources increased spending on that hardware & software/music licensing.

Cheers to Saturday and the next Radiant release! :coffee:

Actually, it's not. At the moment I'm playing 133 titles from F95z alone and that is after a big cleaning (I played over 300 titles before) and even more if you count completed games. 99/100 games of the "lastest updates" page I make ALOT better renders myself. I mean.. Boobs as the size of a yogaball, or roastbeef vaginas, or characters makes weird faces or renders where you can count the pixels, anyone actually get off to that? Anyway, it's a rare occasion that the games I follow have an update, even more rare when my top 10 games has one. 100+ releases/updates in 3 days doesn't mean much, because it's a quantity, not quality.
Radiant have decent renders and a decent story, we can only hope theere will be more content faster, but I wouldn't count on it.

Since the wallpaper is too dark i created two versions. Not much of an editing expert, but at least you can see "what is happening". Dark scenes aren't actually "dark" in movies.

Thanks for your clearer version of the pic! In movies, games, wherever you use images, the darkness like the one in the picture you used, where it is dark but you can see the action, helps to create an atmosphere for the unfolding event. The original dark picture suggests some naughty action is about to start at the end of the day. While the clearer edited version looks like it is early in the morning, a completely different ambience, eliciting different emotions.
