Or Did he decide to keep working with him knowing they arent going to move forward because of damned and he might as well take the money he can to fund his project ?
Did you really think Alorth would walk away and let Dammed claim all this money for himself? hell no..

Why it take long to write few scenes?)
I think in theory whole gameplot could be finished in week with detailed description of all routes and scenes.
Than just give it all for rendering.

The game has a different paths and choices that he has to take in consideration when writing the story but it still doesn't justify the wait time between updates. The real reason for the delays is that he spends most of his time playing video games and arguing with people on twitter.

I think redners define amount of content these game can produce in time.
That I thought only limitation
Writing itself isnt rocket science.

First chapters intoduce girls, than start slow harem building by making MC spent time with each girl one on one, and slowly preparing them for idea of potential harem.

Than when each girl virginity taken, than well time to start doing FFM, split girls on pairs and make them pork MC in pairs.
Than when that done reveal them it actual harem all alon, by time they all broken and hooked on MC so much they just accept.
Than somehow create ending to legalize harem: MC marry one of girl, while other conqubines, or he bought huge House where he live with those girls, or went to Island where polygamy allowed.
Or something like that

Than amount of solo dates with each girls before FFM happen, demand on how much renders can be produced.
Making these dates very easy from writing style: each girl could have her own type of date depend on personaluty and allow slowly build some relashionship with MC.
So well that it.)

Ading branching stories arent that hard since MC was gona go on these dates with each girl anyway. So just block other dates and harem route for girls who arent in harem. Make them good friends, and maybe even hint they still hook on MC even if he reject them. Than add some unique ending for solo route, and that it.

As for sex scene get yourself horny, drink some cofee and start write them. If girl is hot any sex scene would be like. Can add some extra kinks for guys with fetishes, and that it done.


Like I said it could have been done in few weeks. But render it all, hours and hours especially with animations that where true chalenge is.

Hire more people who can render and produce even beter quality, which will give even more money)

Ahh)) Well if that reason he should have finished plot and than give it for rendering and than go playing games and arguing people on twiter.
Such buisness strategy with long delays wont help in long run.
It tarnish reputation, would be hard sell his next game, next time.

Well, to be fair you're just outlining what WOULD happen in the story, not why or how it happens. I'm actually writing a VN of my own and these things are harder than they look.
Still, SirD can't be excused for his lack of clear communication and honesty.

if they have multiple characters with branching paths where choices define results, weaving it all together in a way that makes sense (not how SirD does it) can be harder than you may think. You should aim to have the writing reflect a more "realistically nuanced" outcome rather than "daddy beat Tammy with a belt and then fucked her in the butt, that makes me horny for daddy"

Well I think than branching sheme should be build before starting game though. And make each branch develop independent form one another, than it go like paralel lines than lines which interwine.
Than it all up to how many renders you can produce. If alot than no problem showing 15 diferent dates with 15 diferent girls.
Each of which would push story for such girl. So show events of one chapter go through 1 month, to logicaly explain how MC dated so many girls, so it wouldnt lookhe date one after another.
Not leting line interwine also allow make them option: if one cuted it wont touch others that much, maybe just few lines changes.
Problem hapening when devs dont calcucalate how much renders they can produce per update, than instead develop all 15 girls at same time each route, they just jump from girl to girl.
So if there is limitation of render production simply decrease amount of girls.
Just 5 for example.

I saw most devs try bite more than they can chew: 15 girls whith branching , and three diferent corruption levels per each girl.
That would demand alot of work.

Personally I'm at a very early stage. I've yet to discover what story I want to tell. But so far I can already tell branching is going to be a pain in the ass.

Well I think than branching sheme should be build before starting game though. And make each branch develop independent form one another, than it go like paralel lines than lines which interwine.
That sounds great in theory, but in reality it depends on the game's scope. A game like Come Home with godknowshowmany LIs would be impossible to make if the routes had to be completely parallel.
In reality, it's much easier to treat each romantic storyline as 'blocks' and just place them where needed, instead of the much more complex branching system you're talking about.
Even a huge, ambitious game like Being a Dik does this. The main story is more or less the same, but with tweaks depending on which choices you made. It's the character's relationships that change drastically.

Another thing to consider is how expensive it would be to make a game that's very different depending on the route. Not only creating thousands of renders, but writing different storylines that work equally as good for the same setting and characters.

While I agree that one should have some sort of plan before starting the development, it's easy as a creative to lose track once in a while.
Sometimes you feel like you want to go one way, then find out that the other way was a lot less trouble.
