Are there any other games like Sengoku Rance with the strategic aspect? EXCEPT for Eushully games (already played em all)

ive heard from Sengoku Hime series, i also tried i believe Sengoku Hime 5 or 6 back then but despite it being really good, it was very very difficult since there is no english translation or ui translation and there probably never will be

And you have to add all the scripting, beta testing, post scripting....
Assuming the Rance IX team moved to Rance 03, I dont expect the pace of translation to go faster.

And to answer your question, Eiyu Senki, it has two versions, but I only played the orignal one. Not as good as rance but has plenty of cute ladies.

Every game has different gameplay. For example, Rance 6 and 8 are dungeons crawl, rance 9 is turn based tactics and rance 7 is a strategy game.

Most people agree that Sengoku Rance (Rance 7) is the best translated game in the series. I would suggest playing it and then choosing another game.

In my opinion: Sengoku Rance > Rance Quest Magnum (Expansion for Rance 8) > Rance IX/Rance VI >>> Rance Quest before the expansion > Rance VI (To be fair with this one, I just fucking hated the fact that every single death can be blamed on Rance). I'm waiting for Rance 03/Rance 10 to play the earlier games.

Rance VI: PAO 8.5
Rance IX: PS 8+ ( it's a 6 but the story is ++++ )
Rance IV: O 8
Rance 5D : AO 8-- ( with a remake could become an easy 9 )
Rance Quest magnum : PS 7.5

Ofcourse I have player also all the oldest, the remakes and even the spinoff/troll games like Three for the Slash! Thrust! Burn! (which is short but very fun ) but those are more for the long term fans ( imho ) if you want I can rank also all of them.

The TLDR is this mmkay? Once you're a fan, you're in for life and you'd play every game so don't worry about which game is good and which isn't.
Roughly speaking, every game are playable. Some have faults like shitty gameplay or okay porn rather than godly Rance porn.
But the way to enter Rance abyss is to play one game and then get addicted.

For mechanics, Rance is unique in which every instalment of the game uses new game mechanics so too bad.

As a professional degenerate, I'd recommend first watching the 4 episode hentai Rance cos it'll make your dick cry from how great of an adaptation it is. It's the old saying- Came for the PLOT. Stay for the plot.
After that, you can do what I did- play Evenicle. Then maybe Evenicle Rance.
Even though Evenicle is after Rance and completely unrelated- you would not believe how many people I've seen been converted to Alicism after playing Evenicle.


Then Rance 6 cos oomph- the story is excellent in 6. All will agree. It's Game of Thrones level of complexity where 6 chess pieces are moving at the same time with respective motivations to get the throne.
I think everyone who plays Rance can agree- 6 is best game for story. 7 is best for game mechanic.
X isn't up for discussion cos half the Rance population hasn't played it cos untranslated. But the other half say its the best.

Out of all the games from 1 to 8 i was capable of actually fapping only to 6. It has both unusual themes and a great artwork, so it did it for me. 7 and 8 are closer to a default anime vanilla.

This is a mixed bag cos I'm an S type pokemon so Rance 6 REALLY gets me off. And on a frequent basis I go back to Rance the 'anime' or the Rance 1's remade game to wank off cos it's got proper art. Plus- Pink Pineapple is the goat.
I'm sure Rance 03 would be top tier too if only I could find some place to download/buy it. IF ONLY

I don't know about aspects outside of the translation, but the translation of IX was finished back in 2018 by the translator who cut ties with MangaGamer due to pay and support concerns with Rance X and who did the translations also for Kichikuou, VI and Sengoku. The issue was of course they ran into the technical issues with Sengoku which delayed it internally by like a year plus they still needed to release Quest before IX. 03's is being handled by the person who did Quest, 01, 02, 5D, IV, 4.1, and 4.2. Accounting for everything I think 03 will be done potentially by the end of next year, which will keep pace with about 1 Rance release a year, but who knows about X.

I'm curious if you guys ever happen experience a glitch that you cannot clear characters achievement, even though you keep em until the end, I'm experiencing this on the MangaGamer version of Sengoku Rance, it seems in every routes you cannot get achievement on these characters (see Clear Data -> Recruited And Kept Until The End) :
