Anyone know what has happened with the project status page? I used to just be able to find it by typing mangagamer rance project status, but now it is seemingly gone. I usually go on there to check that it’s still at 94%

As of May 6th it's still 94% translated. Manga Gamer hasn't posted any more recent updates so... it's in progress. I'd much rather they take their time and give Rance X the attention to detail it deserves since it's the final release of the Rance core franchise. Also helps to recall that Rance X has an incredibly amount of dialogue. If it's not the longest game ever produced it's up there.

Dunno about this status page you're referencing though.

Tried to use a cheat engine table for Rance 5D but couldn't because apparently there's an "update" to the game in 2017 and the game file uploaded in the OP is from 2016. In the end had to play the GOG version for it work.

It's still there on google, first result. The hasn't been updated since May, though.

Is there a way to use cheats in Rance 01 remake? The gmaeplay is alright, but a little too grindy
Cheat engine works fine, you just need to set it to look for 2 byte long variables instead of the default 4 bytes. You can give yourself all the gold and exp you need, or even just lock Rance's HP so that it is impossible to die.

So, in almost 5 months we have moved from "Translation: 94% – Editing: 5%" to "Translation: 100% – Editing: 5%".

I am fully convinced that I will be able to fully learn the entire Japanese language by the time Mangagamer finally finishes their translation of Rance X. I have given up on them being able to do that this decade. Even once it's fully edited, it still needs to be inserted, and that can take forever too.

Yeah, I mean I have patience so I will probably wait 5 years, but you are right to think you will probably learn Japanese faster.

Just start this series with rance 3, really don't know what to do, I just press button like a monkey until the camp options show up and don't know what to do next? Any way to cheat the gold? Cheat engine seems can't find the gold value

The translator said he was done with the translation since june so it was kind of a late update anyway.
For context, Rance 9 was in the same situation in 2019, fully translated but barely edited, with other Rance games being worked on. It came out in 2023. With how huge R10 is, I don't expect the game to be localised before 2028.

I played the game MTL'd and UI patched, and it was very a smooth experience honestly. With some basic knowledge of japanese it's even better because you can pre-process names and technical terms that you already know from the earlier games.
If you already played everything available and you're hungry for more, Rance X is WAY too good not to try that imo.

My only hesitation for doing that is I'm already pretty picky when it comes to prose, and MTL tends to butcher prose pretty badly, even if the underlying meaning is preserved. I'll probably continue studying for another year or two then give it a shot, when I'm reasonably confident in my reading abilities to where I won't have to look up unfamiliar Kanji every other dialogue box.

For as long as they may take, MG's translations ARE good for the Rance games, whose writing is already a major cut above anything else Alicesoft puts out. I'm not really sure what happened to the other Alicesoft games, Evenicle and Dohna Dohna are written substantially worse than any of the Rance games. Maybe TADA is really jus that important.

The rance game series can go fuck itself.
Kichikuou Rance is impossible to figure out and beat I tried getting a specific event and tried and tried to win. But I searched for saves that are right before specific events and can't find any so fucking thanks!

The wiki guide is dated and could use an overhaul.

Anyway, what did you miss? I got all CGs and fates.
