So I replayed chapter 2 a bunch in anticipation of the new release and to plot out the path to take going into the next chapter. So I have a few comments and questions.

Can you only get one of the special abilities when chapter 2 ends? I could have sworn I got 2 in my initial playthrough but I might be misremembering. And I can only get one to trigger now. Will it be possible to learn the others later or is this a pivotal choice?

Is the coire of lair going to make a meaningful impact going forward?

Is it intentional that being nice to the farmgirl boots you back out to the Highlands costing you another day to return to hunt for cattle while taking her by force leaves you in the area to be able to hunt immediately?

It would be nice to be able to not explore the mines after dealing with the merchant as to not waste a day if your not planning to make it your lair. Similar to how you can not stow away on the ship after dealing with the guards.

Are the two reputations going to play a bigger role in the next chapter. There isn't a single check against them in chapter 2 from what I could tell.

I really like the game so far and I'm looking forward to the upcoming release.

Yes, only one will be available. I'm reworking these a bit at the moment, but you will not miss out on anything vital as a result of them.

Yes! It will determine which lair faction you have access to. Each of these provide their own quest, and potential access to a unique horde type.

I naively assumed that you would not want to kill the farmgirl's cattle after having been so nice to her! I'll look at adding some better support for this route.

Good idea - I'll have a look at getting the option implemented.

There will be a few checks on them in Chapter 3, but they're primarily late-game stats: you'll see most use out of them in Chapters 4 and 5.

I really like the game so far and I'm looking forward to the upcoming release.
Thank you!

Hmm? Which one to take? On one hand Breathing Fire is kind of iconic on the other hand in a porn game the other two promise more "interesting" interactions. I guess I'll go with the addictive cum. Would it be possible to select the one I want if qualify for multiple? My last run I ended act 2 on 6/6/6/4/0, which afaik is enough to qualify for all of them, and it arbitrarily (i guess since charm is the first in the list edit: I just saw strength is the first in the list so idk) gave me Sonorous Command.

Interesting. So I guess the Koblods were kind of a Placeholder and will only be there in one specific lair while the other two have different "residents".

It also happens if you rape her and then free her fyi.

Looking forward to how this plays out. The thing is at the stats screen it looks like cruelty is the evil path and mercy the good path. But then playing the game half the time you get mercy points by first being a dick to someone and then letting them go (namely the Merchant and Farmgirl) while the actual nice options give you charm instead. This might be what you want given that the game kind of advertises that you play for the "evil" dragon side.

P.S.: The guards in the fishing village talking about your exploits in the highlands is a really nice detail!

Edit: I just tried something else and when I went to eat the Drunk in the Fishing Village the were some code/characters in the middle of the text that I don't think belong there. Bolded by me: "She flails, clumsily, trying to get back to the surface It is easy enough to pin her below.(w=1} When the fire goes..."

You'll get the kobolds any which way, and then access to an additional faction (Proteans, Infernals, or the Warlock) depending on your lair choice.

Reputation stats depend on people surviving/departing to tell the tale! Mercy isn't nice, exactly, and neither is Charm - it comes from taking a nonviolent approach to getting what you want.

Thank you! I like putting little surprises in, and I'm hoping to do more than that as the game expands.

I appreciate the report! I've found the bug and fixed it for v2.0.

Is there new content with the princess in chapter 3?
Not in 2.0, but there'll be more princess content in the 2.x dev branch!

Heh. Funny thing is I didn't want to take the mines as lair because I didn't want to kill the merchant. And letting her walk away with the knowledge of me being there sounds like such a bad idea logically. Even if the gamer in me realises that it probably won't matter or at least not end up in a game over.

When is 2.0 dropping?
v2.0 has been a lot of work - it's about twice the size of v1.7, code-wise, and is a lot more complicated than anything I've coded before. It's needed a lot of refinement - my Patrons have been fantastic, though, and we're on the third beta now. It will still be dropped in the two week window (i.e. by next Sunday).

It's here! I've put in an upload request but, if you'd rather avoid the wait, you're welcome to download from .

Version 2.0, “Maturation”

Dev Notes

  • It’s here! To keep the update cycle regular, I’ve batched up Chapter 3 into multiple releases, in the same way I did Chapter 2. This initial version includes a taste of everything, but it’s by no means the finished article. I’ll be adding more plot, more waifus, more scenes, more hordes, and more events as v2.x develops.
  • I recommend keeping a save file at the start of Chapter 3, so you can go back later when new content has been added.
  • Compatible with save files from v1.4 and newer.
Features
  • Story extended up to, but not including, the finale of Chapter 3.
  • The abbess, drunk, fangirl, farmgirl, merchant, and wolfgirl can now be captured once you have a lair.
  • Mini captive interactions have been added. These will be expanded significantly later on.
  • Issa, the kobold trap waifu, can be encountered.
  • The wolf tribe can now be recruited.
  • You can now gift captives to your hordes to increase their morale. Morale will be important!
  • A unique faction has been added to each different lair. They seed unique quests, which will be able to be completed in the next update.
  • You can now build features in your lair.
  • Voice acting has been added for the drunk, Warlock Malagar, and the Infernal.
  • Vira’s character art has been added for the palace guards, fangirl, farmgirl, and drunk.
  • Amon Ra’s character animations have been added for Regent Balthorne and the palace guards.
  • DP’s scene art has been added for the fangirl’s first night, plus a variant for captive interactions.
  • An orchestral variant of the dragonsong has been added to the main menu, which will be activated after reaching the end of Chapter 3.
  • Voice acting has been added for the dragon. It can be disabled or adjusted in the Preferences menu.
Tweaks
  • A ‘dragon voice’ toggle and slider has been added to the Preferences menu.
  • If the dragon voice is toggled on, game flow will pause to allow its lines to play.
  • The announcement line for evolution powers has been temporarily disabled, until I have the chance to integrate them fully.
  • Bukkake framework extended to the drunk, fangirl, and farmgirl.
  • Direction has been improved for the regent’s scenes.
  • Direction has been improved for the drunk’s first scene.
  • The farmgirl is a little more expressive.
  • You can now go direct to the mine after receiving instructions or escort from the merchant.
Fixes
  • Resolved yet another missing sprite for Maelys.
  • Fixed a capture option erroneously appearing in Chapter 2.
  • Corrected sprite placement during a wolfgirl scene.
  • Corrected content flags for returning to the farmgirl.
  • Fixed redirect after returning to Bastion prematurely.
  • Occasional typo and grammar fixes.
  • And fixed (hopefully) all of the many, many bugs found by our wonderful testers in the alpha and beta versions.

So there's 2 Kobolds and ones a dude and the other is a trap? What a absolute fucking let down, so much for straight players.

Is your objection that you specifically wanted a non-trap kobold waifu option? If so, I'm afraid I can't cater to the interests of everyone, but I am doing requests via Patreon.

You literally already have a male kobold that we are already stuck with, why would you make another one male and not a female instead? Do you not care about the majority of your players?

In the Ravager setting, kobolds are all male, so I worked around that to provide a trap waifu for those who are into that sort of thing. I don't know how many of our players are in it for the female kobold action, but there's still scope for me to add it via one of the Dreamweaver sequences.
