It's really boring coming into thread about Japanese games, wanting to read actual comments about the game but instead it's all just "wahhh wahhh MTL"

And can you blame them? If the game isn't just straight up porn and actually has dialogue to go through then MTL completely fucks up the experience in 9 cases out of 10.

The game looks interesting alright but as soon as I saw the MTL I dismissed it immediately and went to the comments to check if it's just maybe playable. Most people despise MTL so obviously you won't see much discussion about the game for a page or two, it's just people asking exactly how bad the MTL is.

If there was a section for MTL'd/RAW games, MTL tag or at least warning in the title you wouldn't see so many complaints about it. It's depressing to go into a thread to check a game which looks interesting only to find out it's not properly translated.

i played the japanese version and i could save but not in this one...

Seems to be working, the first slot is reserved for the autosave though. Also if your using Locale Emulator try playing without it, sometimes that can screw up menus on Unity games.

This, i agree with,if they can at least make an mtl tag,i can at least know beforehand that i should wait for some other time for the game in hope of proper translation, or just give up and play the raw (if provided) so i don't get my hope up when i find interesting game thumbnail. I tried playing many mtl game, and most i get are full weird ass setence that got me nowhere, especially when you are playing an RPG game where pretty much all the hint come from their dialogue.

This. Exactly. There are limits of what you can get from the context. Most people play game for entertainment, not to get frustrated.

All these Machine Translated games make me want to learn Japanese and translate them..... That and I'll more than likely need to to learn it for my Major. I'll need to be able to read Japanese for that at least.

Well found the problem ...... for who know why the game directory was on "read only" ...... fixed that and now i can save in this version too .... my bad for not checking that first ^^"

Instead of complaining, why not just wait for someone to try the game and then review it for us? I mean, here you are complaining but you aint doing anything. Complain only if you have the means to solve it. Anyway just an opinion of mine.
P.S. I was detered whenever I see MTL but I know that whining and complaining doesn't mean sh*t since i cant do any translation. Might as well be appreciative.

Well probably because there are so many trash MTL translations lately (Some games are no where finished their translation). You can check these JRPG and see the point. Most of them are really bad translated, no you can't even read that "english", and have so many bugs, example is Desire Eater (i think it was uploaded hours ago, it was tagged again with WIP but it used to be completed when uploaded). Just to be sure don't hate MTL but atleast they need to be readable and playable. Also these bad translations can prevent real translators pick up the game because why translate a game that was already translated ??? Also some guys don't have much time to play and surfing the forum, imagine spending your precious time but end up finding out these bad games (full of bugs, engrisk instead of english, blah blah blah). And that's why most of people you see recently hate MTL. When people have bad mood, they usually express it and in this case they become toxic and hate every MTL games. Don't blame them, blame the flood of bad MTL. There are good MTL and trash MTL, but unfortunately most of them are trash.

I really don't understand what could possibly motivate someone to upload a 50 hour game with a machine "translation". I can kind of get it when it's those straight 1-2 hour porn games where the only content is fucking but 50 hours?!? Who the fuck has the drive to slog through 50 hours of machine gibberish? Why would anyone even want to?
Even editing a 50 hour MTL into something half-way comprehensible would be like 100s of hours of work, I understand why no one would want to do it, but I don't understand why, after deciding you don't want to do the work, you feel like uploading anyway?? Who the hell benefits lol

I never complain about MTL because I don't feel like I should be complain about something that was done for free. That said, I can understand why a lot of people can't stand MTL, another reason why MTL has a bad rep is because it happens quite often that someone tries to do a proper translation of a game, then halfway through someone puts out a quick MTL of said game and the translator loses all motivation to continue.

Not saying that's the case here, but it's a big reason why people have a strong negative reaction to MTL, it basically blocks proper translations quite often.

In the west we get what, 1% of the games translated ? That's a good excuse to learn japanese lol

Yea i know i saw the thread. I just choose to avoid the game instead of complaining actually. Its not easy work to translate games. This is why MTL exist. Its up to a person own choice if they want to play the game. For me, I will say no and wait for reviews.

Any way to remove the lag before the english shows up? I read pretty fast, and that was jarring as hell. Jarring enough that I quit after only a couple minutes.

What do I even have to delete to start a clean run? Already have unlocked some CG by default (uploader's save data or something), and I'd like to start from scratch.

Hmm ... Since it's a unity game, try to go at your local file (or Local Low or Roaming, don't really remember but the three files are at appdata so you don't have to search far) and you should see the file name of the game or if you don't find it, try to go inside a unity file, you should have some since you have this game (I'm only making suppositions based on the fact that i have already played a unity game and the save files were at the files i have mentionned.)

P.S. : If you really don't find it, i can try to send you some screens

The save folder is in the main one with the games exe, just delete the contents.
