Funny that you brought asking questions about animating sex scenes, likesblondes did ask us about animations and the most common answer they prefer not to, taking all cost involved. You can read the answers in July 26th update.

To put a number behind this:

• Total comments: 17
  • No for sex animation: 10

  • Undecided or equal: 7

And to add my own opinion here as well.
Animations are nice, yet very often only half-baken and add very few to the game itself. Animations needs a lot lot of render to be fluid. So, if you have 10 s of animation you need around 100 renders or even more for it. And good renders already needs time. I don't do it and I'm sure a dev could provide some figures here.

But I whole agree with Ayhsel here. For this game in its current state I prefer the addition of rendes/story over one or two sex animations. Even if they would be animations I most likely would prefer that they would be used to add more atmosphere and this means for me that they weren't used for sex.

I would choice a Rebirth "comic book" over the Rebirth "game".
It would be a complete other discussion if this were a tripple-A game. But I don't believe that any of the studios out there would release a title hard pornographic content in it.

I used the whispers and I totally agree that it was a rapey dick move once it all played out. I'm leaving it as is though, because it is going to be a learning moment for MC on how this power affects people.

They are all uninteresting, at least Miri has a real job, isn't a junkie and wants to achive more with her live. I just hope we get to fuck the killer albino bitch next.

Its always entertaining as fuck to see people, on a pirate forum, demanding animations when they don't even have a single idea how much time and efford it takes to make a good animation, hell most of them can't even see the difference between a mediocre and a quality render.

that's why when she wasn;t feeling well, I started assuming that maybe involontarly MC started the embrace without finishing it, in that case, taking Laurie with you could have another advantage; Sharon could notice Laurie changing and she or MC would embrace Laurie (remember those SharonsavesLaurie variable points?). I know you keep saying it would reduce MC's uniqueness but immagine the situation when everyone thinks it's Sharon that turned Laurie but in reality it was MC's blood due to it being lower generation... Immagine the catfights...

Yeah, I'll just add my voice to this as well. I voted no to animations on the Patreon post myself. Sure they'd be fine, but I care much more about the story. So, given the poll was done before Likesblondes hit 1500 a month, it was a matter of resource allocation in my mind. Extra time spent to get an animated sex scene, or forget that and progress the story more. The second is a no brainer to me. Truthfully, I don't even like animations in these games the vast majority of the time anyway. The only exceptions for me are BaDIK and Love of Magic.

SharonsavesLaurie could also mean that Sharon would save Laurie in their next encounter with the shadown creature in the wood. Would make a lot of more sense to me, than used this variable to determinate if Sharon will turn Laurie (or Sharon allowed that Laurie will be turned). Otherwise the variable should rather be named SharonturneLaurie or something like this.

Games like Badik, for example, are good in all things, so yes a game like Badik without animation will have less quality in a "way" for me yet it will still be pretty good and I will enjoy it the same without them, but the animations does improve the game even more.

My bad explaining. What I was mentioning is that for Badik, that you can see has the budget, there is very little in amount of other things you can spend the money. The comparison was not on the games, but on the way they can spend money. Take away all the animations from Badik and what could you do with that money and renders? Renders are already top tier, music, game elements.
I do have some problems with it, but not with the overall technical quality. That is without a doubt top tier, and in the end what can be improved is not something to be done by putting more resources in it. Rebirth does have a lot of technical things they can improve with that extra budget. In economic terms, it is a matter of marginal benefit.

That was what I meant by comparing those two, not the game themselves.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed by this update, aside from it feeling short and rushed there are a few other things I felt let down by or maybe I'm more confused because I have no idea of the direction this is going in? I'm not sure...Anyway;
