You are both correct. To make our live more enjoyable we count every wallpaper that we have not seen yet as an update. So pleanty of updates we get and the dev is not milking us, as we are not paying. Fair & square!

yes but lefrench is an artist first and foremost with really great renders. Just needs better task management skills trying to sell a game and build a fanbase. If he could get his style and groove down it would be great. alot of devs find a groove and style that people come to expect. and many more others just do whatever sticks to the wall and frustrate the followers

Last time he experimented we ended up with ~85 story renders, and 273 million renders of the character models spinning in a circle.

thats what you do when you start learning everything from scratch. he basically just began rendering like two years ago. shit takes time to learn. and lets be frank here, most of us wouldnt even move a finger with what lil he earns from his passion project.He's always experimentin.
