As I asked another user...how and why? 2 lewd scenes and hardly anything that actually affects the story (where a save would be worth it)...nearly all decisions just alter dialogue, they do not affect any variable at all along with no bvranching paths yet.

I hadn't even checked this thread since the update was suddenly released, let alone gone to Poly's Patreon, so I can relate 100% to you. It's just that I happened to end up on his Patreon yersterday, and since the post was public I was absolutely sure it would have made its way into this thread. Maybe? A quoted post by Polyrotix (in a post a couple of pages back, I think) explains that he went through everything again, trimming things he felt were too verbose, where pacing was an issue, etc. He also did stuff with renders and the UI. In the process, enough changed that a restart might be required; the old saves might not be compatible.
Maybe I'm wrong and we got lucky with this one. I haven't replayed it yet, but when a developer talks about running through the entire game and redoing a bunch of stuff, I just assume saves will be broken. I'm happy to be wrong. I edited my post to use maybes instead of flat-out nos.
