Hey RyenSaotome! How's life?

Apart from your wellbeing I'm also curious about the game's wellbeing overall. I don't have a graph or something but the game doesn't seem to have too many followers on subscribestar and I think you said at one point that you quit your job or something like that?(not sure on this one).

Anyway, I really can't explain why the low numbers considering the game's quality and you dedication so far(I can't believe I'm about to fucking say this looking at the way other devs treat their games and fanbase:HideThePain:) but have you considered maybe investing in some advertising or something of sorts even if it would mean a hit to the game's budget?

The game is already quality at this point and offers I think at least 50 hours of gameplay so it's just a thought. I still can't believe I told a developer to not invest in a game I like:KEK:

The support on SubscribeStar has indeed stagnated, and hasn't really grown anymore for a while. Luckily, the release on Steam has been a good push in the right direction. But since it's not a steady income, contrary to the monthly pledges on SubscribeStar, it's hard to say to much income it'll still create in several months.
Advertisements and new places to post the game are definitely things I need to look at sooner or later. But I enjoy making the game more than searching for ways to sell it, so that's where I spend most of my time. :D

And its good that you spend most of your time doing what you enjoy doing but you need to also make a stable source of income. Especially since its your main source. So consider getting someone to assist you to get more subscribers maybe offer them a percentage kickback for any new people they get to join your subscribestar. Let me be 100% honest you need assistance in making your game bigger and you love making being one of the only devs to release content monthly so don't tire yourself out without finding ways to profit of it.

I have developed all the buildings. What I don't understand is whether we should open them by doing quests or should they be done without anything to develop on the map?

If you had the events with the bitterroot farm in south of Central, you can upgade it to produce grapes, and then hops. The malthouse and the brewery can be build directly next to the farm.
Construction take several turns, which you need to advance with the "turn end" button.

  2. Is there a way to either make the character viewer work by clicking without relying on a moving cursor? It gets very tedious to use when you have to click + wait on the cursor to access an unlock hint or CG menu, then click + wait on the cursor to change tabs.

1. Yes, you can miss out girls permanently. No, it's never because of areas that can't be backtracked, or time limits, or because of you do the events in a special order. It's always a matter of your choices during events. And such cases are very rare.
For example, freeing the slaves at the thieves guild, or giving them to another country, will remove them for the rest of the game. Only when you send them to your castle, either as maids or prisoners, you get their events and CG scenes.
[Characters with good and bad routes will unlock the CG scenes of both routes as replay options in the CG room when you advance the events on either route.]
Another example are the events of Ariana, where you have a choice in her events which will decide if she goes through a portal to return home forever, or if she stays and becomes your lover.

2. Sadly no. Those screens aren't actually "menus", but the character is turned into the selection icon and "walks" to the event that you want to interact with. It's done that way because there is no easy way to make such custom made menus otherwise in the rpg maker engine, since the default system has no option to do things like that.
There are some workarounds, but no simple or good solutions to that problem, that I'm aware of.

Hey bro, pls help me I messed up, am using game mod with cheat after I add teleport stones ,when I start game I teleport to amagal then I exist, after that I go to paverhill and I triggered the thieve girl ,I chase her and I enter to u know the room but I can't see the hole to jump in ,I used again teleport stone to central city, now ever time I go to paverhill I can't get the event about the thieve kid

well that's explain everything,I mean sometimes when I save game in some parts(in that country map,probably)the protagonist sprite become that "select pointer" in the save party image so i started to think that "this is how this part of the game worked".

Update 22.02.18.png
Update 22.02.18 is now available and has the following content:


1. The continuation of the events with the box you got from Bristol in the content of the previous update. You start the event by interacting with the box in your bedroom.

2. You can now access the war system alpha test via the cheat book in your bedroom.
The system isn't done yet, by far, but serves as a proof of concept to show you what to expect. It's mainly missing a lot of dialogs to show the story of the war for each country, and the vanguard battles in Begus and Dorgania.
The main idea is that you either have a lot of vanguard battles that you can take part in, or dialog and choice based battles, for people that don't like the vanguard battle system.
Please note that all dialogs and events in the war system might get changed later.

What is already included in the war system test?
- Movement of Centrals ATK forces.
- Vanguard battles against Amagal, including a two step siege battle against Manastyr.
- You can get the following vanguard items from the war battles in Amagal: Quick Sword, Mithril Dagger, Magic Dagger, Magic Bow, Crystal Rod, Steel Hammer, Good Horse, Nromal Armored Horse, Great Light Armor, Great Medium Armor, and Great Heavy Armor.
- Replay option for all battles.
- Shop to replace the caravan. The shop is always available.
- AP system (Action Points)
- Simplified battle against opponents when you select to leave the battle to the army.
- Little flags appear on conquered locations.
Gimmicks:
- On the command center screen, you can set how much percent of your forces are designated to different locations. If the value of ATK forces at Amagal are 10% or lower, you have a 25% chance to lose the battle at the Yin Tower when you leave the fighting to your army.
- When you had Dai-Xinyue's first scene, you can ask for the help of her hellhounds during the battle at the barracks in Amagal. It has a 25% chance to go wrong though. (Doesn't affect anything at the moment.)
- Dialogs or events at turn 3, 5 and 6. These will be a lot more, and to some degree randomized, in the future.
- Option to attack Dorgania over the sea.
- Ambush when you attack the 2nd troops of Dorgania with the ATK forces near Thremten. The wrong choice will cost 1 additional AP.
- When you advance the ATK troops in the south of Dorgania, they'll start a counter attack.
- When you advance the ATK troops in the south of Begus, they'll start a counter attack.

Features for the war system that aren't done yet:
- All vanguard battles in Begus, Dorgania, and Central, with more special features and boss enemies.
- Events about or affected by the fortification you can build.
- Events affected by the finances screen variables, for example happiness could give you +1 AP.
- More enemy attacks.
- More ways that you can lose battles.
- More story events and choices.
- Events for siege against capitals, with meaningful choices for the player.
- Events about Varea in Amagal, if she is Queen, and how Chiyo reacts.
- Events about Queen Appelia and the Church in Begus.
- Events about the rebels in Dorgania during the war, and how your choices with them affect the war.
- Attacks of bandits or enemy forces within Central.
(Vanguard fight or use 2-3 AP to solve battle. Ignore = 1 DEF troop lost.)
- More events with named side characters or from special locations, for example:
Kurohime, Pumumu, Redwood family, Orchel, Sia, Spirits.
- Effect of breaking the non-agression treaty with Dorgania. (-1 max AP?)

- Events for the preparations before the war, and what they affect during the war.
(For example increase of max AP)
- Events for when a war is won.
- Event for when ALL wars are done.
- Event for when you reach the deadline.

Things to affect events during the war:
- Construction of watchtowers.
- Army percentages set at the command center screen.
- Army skill and equipment level.
- Fortification.
- Production of food like fish, meat, cheese and so on improved the gain of supplies -> Chance for extra AP? Or a moral boost when your moral gets too low?
- Production of furniture and such luxury items will increase the war support -> Chance for extra AP? Or a moral boost when your moral gets too low?

Please let me know if the war battles in Amagal are too hard or too easy, or if the balancing is okay.

Hey Ryen could you tell me how many monster girls can be capture at most?
There are a few monstergirl types that can't get captured yet, for example the Jiangshi. For every type that you can capture, for example blue slimegirls, there is no limit as to how many of them you can capture. However, only 3 released monstergirls of each type are visible at once at the farms or monsterhall. This protects the location from get so full that you can't walk through it anymore. But even if only 3 are visible, you still get the drops at the chest accordingly to how many monsters of that type you've captured.

Can the Rebel hunt quest be completed in the current build? I know it is part of the Sinrul path but I can not find what to do, and I have looked at the walkthrough.
