Wasn't the DNA test positive for Nicky and negative for Amber?
Other way around.

Amber is his daughter but somehow Nicky has a similar DNA mutation to Jensen.

Amber has been confirmed by the dev to be his daughter. Nicky is a love interest and this is a no incest game so she's no blood relation.

The scene was presented in a way that was likely to make you think that, but as Avaron1974 said, we have let on outside of the game that Nicky is not Jensen's biological daughter. Of course, for those on the Vicky path, she could still one day become his step-daughter...

Hey guys I'm still in first season and have found out that there are a lot of reference to Acting Lessons.
Is it in the same universe? What is the timeline, what other things are connected?

Acting lessons crossover was cool indeed, too bad that Dr PinkCake messed that game up and MrKnobb had to retcon the whole thing :(

There are several references to other games in RTP, and 1 remaining crossover scene (where a package is exchanged between our MC and the MC from "Our Fate"). There's a poster for "The Way" visible on a wall in Series 1, a brochure for "Personal Trainer" in Series 2, oh and there's also a fun cameo appearance from another character from Our Fate in Series 2.

As others mentioned, the Acting Lessons crossover, which was extensive at the time was removed when that other developer changed his mind and requested it. We always get permission in advance, but there's little you can do about people changing their minds.

Could you please add the " Rape" tag ?
The game started really good, and now it's a complete mess.
Too much scenes are unnecessery (like Markus and MC's sister sex scene) Why show to the player who embody the MC the scenes with the girls who he can't have ? That's stupid.
Abigail and her mother are complete bitches, and I hope they will have what they deserves later (but I will not be here to see thtat).
I am done here, thank you.

They are telling a story and that includes showing us what happens around the main character.

Abigail and her mother are complete bitches, and I hope they will have what they deserves later (but I will not be here to see thtat).

How are they bitches? Are women somehow not allowed to enjoy themselves? They don't know that they are dealing with the antagonist. MC fucks everything left and right (at least in series 1). Don't be a hypocrite.

It's a story involving multiple characters who also have lives and lovers.

They show scenes because they are relevant to the story as a whole not just what you want to see.

Then again I don't expect much from someone who quits a game because they were given 2 choices and 1 of them put you off. Could have picked the second one but nooooo, easier to go to the forums and complain.

You're the type of player devs don't like.

Nor other players.

Thank you for your contribution.
Theirs was far more productive than any of yours.

Firstly, the player is not able to play a rape scene, thus it is not a part of the gameplay to tag, for those looking for a rape game.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Now, while you say that you found the scene between Jessie and Markus unnecessary, you haven't actually thought what the scene was telling you, or why the game writers both believed it was necessary. The fact is that it showed us characteristics of the two (important) characters, and about their relationship, that frankly only we can possibly say whether or not you'll need to know later. There's a lot of later to come - we are not quite halfway through yet.

As for Abigail and Latisha, their sin is simply the rather common trait of selfishness and short-term greed. They think of their own wants, before thinking about (or caring to think about) the consequences to others. A bit like some twat who throws a tantrum about his own wants on a game with plenty of fans, not giving a shit for how many like it, only for the fact he doesn't... 'Complete bitch' is the term for that, huh?

Ava, why you don't keep ignoring me like you usually do ? You don't have to come and be mean with me. I am not your ennemi, I like you.
The devs or other players don't like me ? Like I care.
But, I have to say you have a point here. It's true : why I posted on this game if I don't like it ? It was a waste of time after all. Yeah, my bad. I promise I won't do that again, mom.

... and one happening off-camera next to Penny's cell ...

=> Yes, that was the one. Even if we didn't see it happened, it's a rape.

=> THAT was a good answer. Thank you.

=> Abygail understood who Adam really is but she said nothing, she just... leave. Yeah, maybe she has a plan or something else but...
Same for Latisha, but in addition, she fucked her own daughter's boyfriend.
That's a good exemple of unnecessary scene : why show us Litesha fucks Adam ? And what the player will think about her otherwise than " she's a bitch " ?
(don't answer, I already lost all possible interest)

Next, I don't throw a tantrum about my own wants. I am on a public forum, I can post whatever I want (in regard of the game of course) and I will appreciate you to stay polite with me.
And you two, don't forget I mentionned " a player who embody the MC ". That's obviously not your case. So let it go.

A, I see the problem. You read the very first sentence of the overview backwards, so instead of realizing that you (the player) play *as* Jensen Wenchester, you think somehow, magically, Jensen will learn to be like some player we don't know?

Have said repeatedly that this is not a 'player avatar' game. No more than when you watch a Bond movie, the actor playing James Bond is trying to be you, or a good avatar for you. The reason why ought to be patently obvious - you are the kind of person playing a VN about being him, and he's not playing a VN about being you.

Yes you get to identify, and think about what you would do if you were a fully qualified Spec Ops officer from an elite unit of the US Army Rangers, further enhanced with super-serum, owning your own company and several properties, etc. But that's you thinking about "what if I were a completely different person with all their skills and looks and resources?". The key words there are 'completely different person'. The kind who could actually survive the training, do the work, etc. and be a genuinely nice guy.

I didn't say they didn't like you as a person I said they don't like players like you.

You complained about the snowball in Second Chance but it was only one option, you could have told her to swallow it but you said you were done with it after that option.

Like here you said it was stupid they showed character relations outside of the MC yet those scenes were done for story building reasons.

Devs don't like players that make rash judgements on their game when the aspects they are judging have a purpose or another outcome.

This is mainly story and character focused and a lot of those characters are outside of the MC's little circle. This game isn't "your" story it's Jensen's, you just have input on how certain parts progress, it still needs to build up the rest of the story and how the characters fit into it.

Well, I guess I deserved that. I should not have answered the first time, and now, some sentences on a forum try to teach me the identification to the main character.

Ok, I will said that otherwise : what I said before was my own opinion of the game, with my own reasons, and thank you for your debate but I will close the " discussion " here. I am already on the next game. I just want to forget this one.

Good day to you.

When I like a game, I take my time to write a more long text, more structured, with what I liked and what I didn't and why (if you want an example, you can see " The DeLuca Family ").
When I don't like a game, I waste my time to write some sentences with no clear explanations, and each time, people became hounds and try to bite me. Meeh...

For the snowball thing, I know it's just an " option " but that's just a thing I can't deal with it (like rape, torture on innocent people, blackmail on nice poeple, netorare, etc). Yes, it's just an option, but it's a part of the " whole " game.
For me, " avoidable " means : if you want to see the whole game, you have to see it at least one time.
Thank you for this precision, because I didn't understood what you wanted with your " choice but noooo " thing.

Honestly, each time we met, we are fighting. I don't like that. It's nicer when you cooled off.

Good day to you, Ava.

Nobody will force you to come back to read a reply, nor to further comment. That decision is all on you, and you alone.

But this is a discussion thread for the game/vn, not just for you, and thus, if you comment and it sparks further discussion, well, that's what a forum is for. You know, in a way, it is almost as though I see it as part of my job to answer discussion points about the game.

Oddly enough, the way you speak to people will, always, have an effect on how they respond.

The game started really good, and now it's a complete mess.

You didn't say that you'd liked the early part of the game but hadn't liked it as the story unfolded, which is the objective 'truth'. No, you phrased it in a way that made it all the game's fault.

There are plenty of people who are liking the story more as it unfolds, with all its complexities and tangled threads. Many players are not only 'keeping up' with the story, but also speculatively thinking ahead. Being able to spot the clues and important elements in the complexities that we've seen is kind of the whole point of a thriller, just like working out "whodunnit" is part of any good detective story. It's not that it won't all be revealed in time, of course, but it's like an extra game in such stories to see if the writers can baffle you without 'cheating', or whether you can successfully piece together the clue to get ahead.

Yes, we know that's not how most 'porn games' are. We are not trying to write most porn games, as you can tell from the complete lack of landladies and roommates. This is a story first, an action thriller, with the porn very much a secondary thing. It is very much a niche thing, and we have no illusions that it will get the same kind of support as a far simpler, more accessible to all intellects, "Boy lives with Mom and 2 sisters", sort of game where thought would actually be a hindrance (because molesting someone in their sleep *is* rape, and peeping at people in showers is also a sex crime).

It's absolutely fine that this story is not for everyone. We do all we can to weed them out fast, such as letting them know right away this isn't a 'self-insert' MC, a dreamscene showing soldiers and violence right at the beginning, etc. But we do get a bit tired of the stupid.

Ever watched porn? What do you think that is except showing you girls you can't have. Well, this may be a big shock to you, but you can't have any of the girls in RTP, because, (newsflash), none of them are real! MrKnobb makes them in DAZ and we create personalities for them from our imaginations! So, knowing that how is showing you a partial scene with Markus and Jessie any more 'showing you something you can't have' than showing you Jensen with Vicky, or indeed, watching any porn scene at all you didn't film yourself? Your rationale is irrational.
