What makes Tricia more interesting then just Daddy Issues: The Character is she’s actually of faith for real. You can argue she’ll grow out of it, but I don’t interpret it as a mask for her. She reconciles both sides of herself in a sort of theologically uneducated way… but in a sense she’s simultaneously the “whore” and the “tradwife”, mirroring the “Secretly chaste Gyaru” archetype that’s popular in Japan right now.
I could just as easily see her going more rebellious or less. Ultimately, I think that’s her appeal, somewhat of the best of both worlds. Usually a heroine will be “Waifu in the streets, whore in the sheets” but she’s normally the opposite… except when she’s not
