Thank you for what you're doing, dude, at first I was depressed because the new part would have to wait until the middle of winter, but when I found out that you were doing another part, I just cheered up! Does this mean that part 8 may be ready by the time you stop waiting for a release from Ferdafs? If so, it will be just gorgeous, because this date is not far from my birthday

Well... that one I can (sort of) answer, because making Morticia rare isn't in the original game, it's a story thread introduced in the Renpy version.

In the Unity game, we've only had the one interaction with Collector Morty (offering the Portal gun after saving Morticia form the Creepy Morty: Day 21: Chapter 4: Maid Rescue). However, he shows up a few extra times in the Renpy Remake, specifically in a later scene: Day 37: Chapter 9: Morty's Choice, where he monologues one of the reasons he is after her.

As I've already written the main conclusion (and answering this question isn't part of that (and Ferdafs version doesn't have this plot thread, so he'll never answer it (although, now that I've typed all this up, there might be some wiggle room to slip it in (that's what she said). I'll consider it.)), I feel okay talking about it here.

But, fair warning, you most likely aren't going to like the answer(s).

Personally I don't hate this answer because it's pretty much the same thought process I had as well, infinity is infinity and in the show we do see female Morty's as well as Morty's that are snakes, hammers, and chairs.

The "Finite Central Curve" is still infinite (despite having the word Finite in it). The show describes it as (roughly quoted): Rick built a "wall" around infinity, separating all the infinite universe where he is the smartest being in those universes, from all the universes where he isn't.

In other words, the Finite Central Curve is a specific set of infinities, still infinite, but with certain conditions on which types universes are included in that infinite set. As long as that set condition is constant, everything else can change.

There are still infinite Mortys of every kind on the Finite Curve (and in the game), the only exception being, none of them can be smarter than Rick (a plot hole in the show, since a Morty literally smarter than Rick brings down the Finite Central Curve (but, I mean, the show is full of contradictions)).

Sorry, could have quoted my post better. What I meant to say is, yes, I agree. Just that these infinities where Morticias are rare (and hence, Morty's and Ricks exist as "Morty's" and "Ricks") are within the "Finite Central Curve". There's nothing to say that there isn't a "Finite Central Curve" where Morticia's are common and Morty's are rare. Etc.

I don't think it's a plot hole necessarily. As long is his original Rick was smarter than Evil Morty, it's ok. He could've been smarter.

Night Mirror, I've loved the work you've been doing so far on this project, but I thought I'd let you know about a concept that maybe you aren't already aware of since you seem to be so focused on the seeming paradox of rarity in infinity.

There are infinities that are bigger or smaller than other infinities. This is mathematically supported and a well understood concept. If you think of these infinities in multiple universes as concentrations (think number of Morty's or Morticias in a given 1,000,000 universes) it can absolutely be the case that the infinity of Morty's is much, much larger than the infinity of Morticias. There's nothing about physics or mathematics that forbids that. So in such a situation, while both individuals are by definition in infinite supply, the concentrations they represent in the larger scale collection of universes does not have to be equal as not all infinities are equal in size. So there's actually nothing paradoxical about Morticia being 'rare' yet also infinite, provided you think of her rarity as being rare relative to other individuals who are also infinite.

Anyway, hope that helps. I'd offer my help with editing if you need it, but I'm a grad student so my time would be off and on, so maybe not super reliable.

This has gotten way off the original topic (into a Maths discussion, rather than talking about the game (and I did say the game wasn't even going to address Morticia's rarity)). So, this is my last response on the topic.

"Bigger" and "Smaller" relate to the paramaters of an infinit set. Usually (mathmatically), when we are talking about "bigger" infinities we are talking about uncountable vs countable sets. But paramaters can make infinites "bigger" or "smaller" depending on what you include and what you don't.

A (very) simple example is an infinite line vs an infinite plane. Both are infinite, but a plane would be a "bigger" infinite set, having more "infinites" inside it.

As it relates to the game, there are infinitely many Mortys and Morticias in the Central Finite Curve. This is because the only set paramater is that: "Rick is the smartest person", not "and there are only 12 Morticias". What's really going to blow your mind is that if we had a set paramater where there are less Morticias than Mortys, there would still be an infinite amount of both in the set.

So, yes the Central Finite Curve is by definition a "smaller" infinity then a set where Rick isn't the smarterst person. But, in both sets, there are still infinitely many Mortys and Morticias, because the set doesn't define a finite amount of either.

Again, Morticia is rare not because there are less of her, or more of Morty, there are infinite amounts of both, and infinite amounts of neither. She is rare because finding her in that infinit set is hard.
