Say, have you considered making your own original game while waiting for ferdaf to release more.

Also i can't believe Morticia was originally a background character in the sandbox version, with her being moved to being a main character there still seems to be not enough Morticia contents!

At the moment, I'm doing review/revisions on Part 7 (of the conclusion), trying to make it as polished as I can (right now I'm spending a few hours a week going over it again and again). Any additional time I have to work on the project is going towards Part 8. That is to say~ I'm not just waiting, I'm still working on stuff when I have time/motivation to do so (although I've had a lot less of both). Keep in mind I'm working on this project in my free time in place of other things (like games or watching mindless utube).
As to another game, I've talked a bit about this before, but the short version is no.
The longer version is also no. When this project concludes (when Ferdafs stops working on it), my time in the dev world will also likely end. In fact, once the conclusion is all done, my project engagement is most likely going to drop off a cliff, even if Ferdafs keeps going (I'm already struggling to stay engaged with it).
I certainly have other ideas for games (porn and otherwise). But... I've been down the dev road before and that hasn't gone great. This isn't my first game, it's just the only one that ever made it out into the world.
Why? Well, the simplest version is, I don't have the skill sets. I can't make sound/music. I can't make art. I can do the writing if I have too, but~ I'd prefer not. So... just the programing aspect? That's not really a game :/
This project has been (mostly) fun, but when it's done, so am I (for a long while at least).

hey Night Mirror, since i haven't been following the thread for long i don't seem to get what "Part 7" is referring to (also Part 6, 8 and other numbers). Do you mind explaining it for me so i can have a better idea of the game's progress?

When Fedafs first abandoned the game, I started work on wrapping it up, a conclusion. The conclusion was too big to do all at once, so my options were wait until it was all done (likely never) or release it in parts. Part 7, is the version name for next planned release of the conclusion content.
If Fedafs puts out an update soon-ish, the next have release will be r4.1 (matching the unity number), if not it will likely be r4.0P7, matching the conclusion version.
The release names are deliberately vague so as not to give spoilers, and I haven't said how many there will be (both so people won't know when to expect the ending, and letting me split as needed if a part gets too big).

Status Report December 2024:
As we near the end of the month, it is time for me to once again talk about the stuff going on with the project. You might think there's not that much to report on, as I've mostly been waiting for Ferdafs, but that is not true. This month has had some MAJOR milestones, and some big changes behind the scenes. I'll get to those in a moment, but first, the question that makes up most posts in this (and every) thread, "when"?!
My plans are still to release "r4.0P7" in Jan of next year. I feel I'm still on track to do that, even with some~ changes I've made (and am still making right now). It won't be early Jan, but when I have a better grasp for things, I'll give a more solid date.
Which segues us into the next thing. This month had two very major project milestones in it.
The first major milestone is that I finally fully completed the game script. I wrote the conclusion more than a year ago, and the early scenes got a lot of focus (because, I had to make them first), but the later scenes have been woefully incomplete for a while. The general ideas were there (usually a single note to my future self), but the actual dialogue was little more than inline code comments (# this is where Morty fucks [insert girl name here]). Now it is all completed. Not final, the script still needs a fair bit (A LOT) of revising, and tuning, but the story is all there.
The second major milestone is trickier to talk about, and I can't really go into too much detail, as it concerns the ending (the final scene of the game). Very, very, long rambly post short, I've decided to trim the ending way back.
As always, part of the decision was art issues (more crappy art I can't draw), but really, it was mainly a story driven decision. I was trying to fit in too much (that's what she said). And, once I had the final script, and read it over (literally 1-2 times every day for this last month), it just felt~ wrong. It felt as-if the story got to the end, but then just kept going. So, it got cut down to be more~ ending-like?
So~ what does all that mean. It means that Part 7, will be the final installment, the ending. I've moved the relevant content into the main project, and I'm currently creating art and posing it now. When the next release comes out, the game will be tagged "Completed", and my involvement with it will significantly reduce.
I do still plan to include new content from Fredafs if indeed there is more content to come, but outside of those updates, I won't be working on the project daily. Even if we do get an update from Ferdafs in Jan, this won't change the current plans (just the version number).

Does that mean part 8 is just scrapped or whatever you had is compiled into part 7?

Yes, some of the part 8 content is now in part 7. But much of what I had planned for 8 is just being scrapped. After release I do intend to talk more about it.
