I loved the writing. A great mix of batty, serious, realistic, and crazy. I especially wanted more about Carla's mom's cult, and how she had used it to brainwash her daughters to believe something so obvious and easy to embrace without any mythology behind it. But the mythology was great, and gave the characters so much depth. Then the redhead with her childhood crush, and her intense older sister who needed a dominant man so badly. The story is killer.

Well that mythology seems to true. As mc's dad was about tell him about a secret about their family and also during the spar with jade his eyes were glowing as far I remember.

I feal like RNGR was building a real story at the same time as getting right to the point with the bleaching and for some maybe it was to fast but I think it was a great mix.
Honestly, the story was unique enough and engaging enough that it's honestly irritating that it got dropped, not for the fact that we don't get more of it, but more for the same reason you get annoyed at someone in the middle of winning a race that stops before the finish line and quits. You were about to win! Why did you stop!
Like, the metrics on their patreon were great, they were the only game in town for this kind of content, and even then the content itself was really enjoyable, and then boom, vanish.
It's part of why I think people are willing to believe the 'literally conscripted to ukraine war' with little to no evidence, because dropping something with the potential to be lucrative like this was shaping up to be without any news is just insane, from most's perspective.
I saw someone earlier in the thread say it was 'letting the goose that laid the golden egg rot away' and my god is that accurate.
Very clearly missed opportunity here, hopefully someone capable of making shit sees this game and the response, and gets the bright idea to try and steal the audience and make some cash, if only to start inspiring people to make more of this stuff. Because there IS an audience for it, and they are NOT being catered to in damn near anything else.
This entire fetish is literally free real estate, game devs. This was the *ONLY* game catering to it, and it's basically dead. It's a niche that YOU could fill and reap the rewards from doing so.
