Why are you misrepresenting what I wrote? I said the game is fantastic despite my very personal, very subjective distaste for time travel plots. How is that not a HUGE compliment to the developer? At the end of the day these games are a more interactive form of pornography for me and too overly involved plots can take away more from the experience than they add. If you play these games for the story that's cool.

My point is the characters are so well crafted that I annoys immensely me when the focus shifts away from them too long. Does that make more sense? I love the smaller interactions and scenarios between the main cast of characters and how the relationships evolved with the MC. Those would have worked just as well in a fantasy, sci-fi or contemporary scenario or wherever you would plop down these characters.
And would you play this game if it had zero sexual content? Is the plot good enough to stand on it's own? For me the answer is no, nor have I ever played a western adult game where that's the case. Maybe some of the Japanese Eroge classics would qualify. So it's frustrating to me if a talented developer spends a lot of time and energy on parts of the game that in my super humble opinion don't need it.
I'm not trying to antagonize anyone. I'm not trying to shit on the game. Just voicing what I would like to see more and less of in future updates. Does the developer need to listen to anything I say? Absofuckinglutely not, it's their vision.

I would, and there are a quite a few other VNs I would read without the sexual stuff as well.
I guess we just look for different things in VNs. When I read a VN I mostly go in for the story, romance, and the characters. I saw the time travel stuff as a way for MORE of those things to be introduced, the story is more interesting, more romance with Jenna and stuff, and more characters to get to know. If the time travel plot was the MC going to a desolate land away from everyone then maybe I would agree with your gripe, but as it stands, when the focus shifts away from the well written characters in the present day, it gets put mostly on the well written characters from the past.

Fortunately, you can skip past all those unnecessary time-travel scenes that intrude between the sex scenes.

Why is the lingerie store selling detergent and whatever else the stuff in the back is supposed to be? This is yet another issue with AI "upscaling", it changes shit you don't want it to change, and takes control away from the human. In the first image, thought has gone into every little detail of the image by someone (though the store was likely made by a different person than the model), and thus makes sense. The background, the bikini pattern, the colour of the sunglasses, even her boob size is different. It's hard to have consistency between renders.
Also what the hell is going on here? Not only did it replace a window with a painting, the wall makes no sense.
I filter out AI and real porn for the same reason, lack of consistency. I want VNs for the human made art made specifically for that story, whether that's 2DCG or 3DCG, they're both human expression of creativity.
If any game "upscales" their renders with AI slop I'm dropping it.

I think it would be awesome IF the AI would very precisely follow the produced render. Or if one had very strong control over it, like give command to make the same picture again, but "change breast size to this" or "make facial expression like that." Plus perfect consistency and no censorship at all.
Would love to make my own renpy game with lifelike images like that. Because it does look awesome - better than real life.
