I didnt turn her down because I think she went to the past and that's a hard secret for her to tell us right away. but isnt not forgiving basically rejecting her or you mean after you find out about her new tattoo's since you didnt like them.

Nothing to do with the tattoos, no. There is a choice when she returns at the start of this episode (6) and is pleading with you to forgive her. You can comfort and hug her, or choose not to. That choice has no bearing that I can tell on the rest of the chapter. Even though I wasn't even willing to give her a hug, the next day we go on a date and have sex.

I feel like -that- option there should be an off-ramp for Skylar. I have a hard time justifying my MC dating and fucking her while simultaneously being clear he does not forgive her earlier rejection.

This is also in no way, shape or form a critique of the story. The writing is phenomenal. I've Patreon subb'ed for over $100 this year. But this lack of choice feels unsatisfying to me.

Once she comes back in this update, if you were on her route so far, you can't stop the route.
So it will go on. Even if you don't hug her when she comes back, dinner + sex will still happen, no options to break off.

It's not a big deal, just needed to whine about it a bit. Took me 5 minutes to fast forward through game until new update with non-Skylar save.

ah good to know I assumed when given the option to forgive her or not and picking not to forgiving her was basically stopping her path. Thanks as I do plan to make some solo paths at some point. Since this isnt the type of game I like to do a harem / manwhore playstyle after I decided who my favorite girls are. Just been lazy and havent done that yet lol.

No need to investigate, found the issue.
It seems that if you press "New game" immediately after "end credits", it keeps all affection levels. Strange as fuck, but there you have it.
So I played game with Skylar route, finished it, pressed new game immediately at ending and that loaded new game with high affection scores. Knew something was strange when I checked phone and saw character bios reference events that didn't happen yet in that playthrough.

For reference, no mods involved so it was just bizarre case

The elden ring dream must have done permanent damage to MC's brain......I would understand him ignoring the idea that someone got 2 full sleeves, and 2 tats the full length of their sides and somehow had them fully heal in 4 days (even if they are all black) but for him to be just be like "huh tattoos" then let over a day pass took me straight out of it. I mean he is even friends with someone who has sleeves so tats shouldn't be a foreign concept to him

I understand her feeling like she needs to lie even though its pretty cunty to be "coming clean and apologizing" while lying directly and indirectly (she lies about the sos text and she isnt truthful about how/when she got the tats)


My souring on Skylar previously and only doing forced interactions/no trust with quirky qrazy Riley really colored my perception of this update vs the previous one

but that would change the entire dynamic of the scenes following because MC doesnt question her or anything like that where if MC had thought that there is no way the date and aftermath would have played out the same. Unfortunately its just a case of MC being a coomer and thinking with his dick first

or like i said previously:
Thinking about it Skylar getting all those tattoos either confirms to us there is a way to travel through time without missing time in your present or that the world of Ripples just so happens to have tat tech that is decades or hundreds of years ahead of ours

Episode 6 was Great fun!!

I enjoyed the Skylar scenes, both the late-night update and then the dinner out the following evening ('m on the Jessica path so the evening ended with dropping her off at home)

The next morning breakfast had some great internal dialogue from Tiffany - so we know we are not taking 2-3 steps back after the progress the MC and Tiffany made in their growing relationship during the previous night's 'Movie Night'.

The school day with Jackie Gilmore's invite for the next night followed by the scene with Dani and then afterschool 'program' with Riley were all well done - with Riley's 'helicopter' taking center stage....

We had a nice exchange between Tiffany and Valerie so - while we did not advance the Tiffany/MC relationship (this relationship should never be a rush to Smash), we did get some great insight into Tiffany's (and Valerie's) feelings about 'Movie Night.'

I'm thinking that the next outing that the MC and Tiffany have will end on a more amorous note perhaps dinner, dancing and then a hot and heavy make out session in the car - (my wishful thinking here!).

I really enjoyed the increasingly intimate time with Jessica (the photo session was a major breakthrough for the MC and Jessica, both in terms of the physical sharing as well as Jessica owning her feelings much more than in the past and coming across as genuinely grateful to the MC for his help with the photos.

Finally - the dinner date with Skylar also gave the MC more insight into both Shelby and Alice.

My compliments to Jestur for a great release and for the continuing improvement in mixing music, ambient and scene specific sounds with Great animations that show case body physics and facial expressions.

While I am looking forward to revisiting Scarlett, Jenny, Tiffany (and Luna perhaps?) in 1999, the delay in getting to enjoy modern day Tiffany, Jessica, Scarlett, Alyssa and others will be difficult...

The perils of building a harem across time are not to be trifled with...

I'm more curious about if with Skylar's trip to the past if somehow how much times passes between future / past got changed. As from what I recall the first time the MC went to the past and came back to the present the same amount of time went by. Skylar would need more than a week in the past for 2 sets of sleeves to heal unless that is future Skylar maybe.

That is the case yes MC was "missing" for a bit in the present and your family/darci freaked out about it the same thing happened the second time he went but it was done quickly enough that nobody noticed he was "missing". Regardless of Skylar spending time in the past or being from the future she proves there is more time travel than the "go back exactly 20 years" that MC has done.

Skylar's tattoos are unironically the smoking gun that will solve time travel
